Answer: Solution A : [H_3O^+]=0.300\times 10^{-7}M

Solution B : [OH^-]=0.107\times 10^{-5}M

Solution C : [OH^-]=0.177\times 10^{-10}M

Explanation:

pH or pOH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of a solution.

pH is calculated by taking negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration and pOH is calculated by taking negative logarithm of hydroxide ion concentration.

pH=-\log[H_3O^+]

pOH=-log[OH^-}

pH+pOH=14

[H_3O^+][OH^-]=10^{-14}

a. Solution A: [OH^-]=3.33\times 10^{-7}M

[H_3O^+]=\frac{10^{-14}}{3.33\times 10^{-7}}=0.300\times 10^{-7}M

b. Solution B : [H_3O^+]=9.33\times 10^{-9}M

[OH^-]=\frac{10^{-14}}{9.33\times 10^{-9}}=0.107\times 10^{-5}M

c. Solution C : [H_3O^+]=5.65\times 10^{-4}M

[OH^-]=\frac{10^{-14}}{5.65\times 10^{-4}}=0.177\times 10^{-10}M

vova2212 [387]

Answer:The functional groups in an organic compound can frequently be deduced from its infrared absorption spectrum. A compound, C5H10O2, exhibits strong, broad absorption across the 2500-3200 cm^1 region and an intense absorption at 1715 cm'^-1. Relative absorption intensity: (s)=strong, (m)-medium, (w) weak. What functional class(cs) docs the compound belong to List only classes for which evidence is given here. Attach no significance to evidence not cited explicitly. Do not over-interpret exact absorption band positions. None of your inferences should depend on small differences like 10 to 20 cm^1. The functional class(es) of thla compound is(are) alkane (List only if no other functional class applies.) alkene terminal alkyne internal alkyne arene alcohol ether amine aldehyde or ketone carboxylic acid ester nitr

CO(g)+2H2(g)⇌CH3OH(g)CO(g)+2H2(g)⇌CH3OH(g) This reaction is carried out at a different temperature with initial concentrations o
Katarina [22]

Answer:

9.4

Explanation:

The equation for the reaction can be represented as:

CO_{(g)}    +      2H_2O_{(g)}   ⇄  CH_3OH_{(g)}

The ICE table can be represented as:

                                  CO_{(g)}    +      2H_2_{(g)}   ⇄  CH_3OH_{(g)}

Initial                          0.27             0.49              0.0

Change                      -x                  -2x                 x

Equilibrium               0.27 - x         0.49 -2x          x

We can now say that the concentration of  CH_3OH_{(g)} at equilibrium is x;

Let's not forget that at equilibrium  CH_3OH_{(g)} = 0.11 M

So:

x =  [CH_3OH_{(g)}] = 0.11 M

[CO_{(g)}] = 0.27 - x

[CO_{(g)}] = 0.27 - 0.11

[CO_{(g)}] = 0.16 M

[2H_2_{(g)}] = (0.49 - 2x)

[2H_2_{(g)}] = (0.49 - 2(0.11))

[2H_2_{(g)}] = 0.49 - 0.22

[2H_2_{(g)}] = 0.27 M

K_C = \frac{[CH_3OH]}{[CO][H_2]^2}

K_C = \frac{(0.11)}{(0.16)[(0.27)^2}

K_C = 9.4307

K_C = 9.4

∴ The equilibrium constant at that temperature = 9.4
