A cart is pulled by horizontal force such that it moves with constant velocity

So here since velocity is constant we can say that its acceleration will be ZERO

now here for zero acceleration we can say

F_{net} = 0

So here we will have

F_{net} = F_{ap} - F_f = 0

here we know that

F_f = 10 N

so we will have

F_{ap} - 10 = 0

F_{ap} = 10 N

so here applied force on handle will be

<em>b. 10 N</em>

Lyrx [107]

Answer:

A) 17.7 m/s

B) 15.98 m

C) Zero

E) 9.8 m/s²

Explanation:

given information

distance, h = - 34 m

time, t = 5 s

A) What is the initial speed of the egg?

h - h₀ = v₀t - \frac{1}{2} gt², h₀ = 0

- 34 = v₀ 5 - \frac{1}{2} 9.8 5²

- 34 = 5 v₀ - 122.5

v₀ = 122.5 - 34/5

    = 17.7 m/s

B) How high does it rise above its starting point?

v² = v₀² - 2gh

v = 0 (highest point)

2gh = v₀²

h = v₀²/2g

  = 17.7²/2 (9.8)

  = 15.98 m

C) What is the magnitude of its velocity at the highest point?

v = 0 (at highest point)

E) What are the magnitude and direction of its acceleration at the highest point?

g= 9.8 m/s², since the egg is moved vertically, the acceleration is the same as the gravitational acceleration.

A force is applied to a 30-kg object, resulting in an acceleration of 15 m/s. What is the force being applied to the object?
telo118 [61]
The sum of all forces applied to the object = (mass) x (acceleration)

The sum of all forces applied to the object = (30) x (15)

= <u>450 newtons</u>, in the direction of the acceleration.

Can someone give me some tips of how to study. I have already tried writing everything in my lesson but it doesn't seem to work
larisa [96]
Highlighter, color coding sections that go together, flash cards, relaxing with someone while they read out questions ( this will help with testing anxiety too). If you get distracted easily use games to study or small sayings instead of the usual white and black sheet of paper.

Find the mass if the force is 18 n and the acceleration is 2 m/s/s
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

<h2>The answer is 9 kg</h2>

Explanation:

The mass of an object can be found by using the formula

m =  \frac{f}{a}  \\

f is the force

a is the acceleration

From the question we have

m =  \frac{18}{2}  \\

We have the final answer as

<h3>9 kg</h3>

Hope this helps you

One of the many by products of uranium is radioactive plutonium, which has a half life of approximatley 25000 ytears. if some of
strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

0.9972 fraction of plutonium will remain after 100 years.

Explanation:

Half life of plutonium = t_{1/2}=25000 years

Let the initial mass of plutonium be = A_o

Mass of plutonium after time of 100 years = A

Decay constant for this process = \lambda =\frac{0.693}{t_{1/2}}

A=A_o\times e^{-\lambda t}

A=A_o\times e^{-\frac{0.693}{25000 years}\times 100 year}

A=A_o\times 0.9972

\frac{A}{A_o}=0.9972

0.9972 × 100 = 99.72 %

0.9972 fraction of plutonium will remain after 100 years.
