The shape of XeO₂F₂ is Trigonal bi-pyramidal see-saw tetrahedron (see attached pictures)
- As you said the hybridization of Xe here is sp³d so its geometry has to be Trigonal bi-pyramidal in which F atom located on axial positions but for the final shape we exclude lone pair on Xe to give see-saw shape (see second picture)
- Remember that we have 5 pairs (4 bond pairs + 1 lone pair) and we have to place lone pair at equatorial position.

Summarize the five points of Dalton’s atomic theory, and explain at least one change that occurred to the atomic theory because
Umnica [9.8K]
The postulates of Dalton's theory were:
1) Elements are made of extremely small particles called atoms
2) Atoms of a given element are identical in size, mass, and other properties
3) Atoms cannot be subdivided, created, or destroyed
4) Atoms combine in whole number ratio to form compounds
5) Chemical reactions are the rearrangement of atoms
The third postulate has been disproved by modern science, in which the atom has been split and been subdivided into smaller parts such as the neutron, proton and electron, which are further subdivided into quarks, gluons, and kaons.
The second postulate was also disproved upon the discovery of isotopes.

What is the basis for the classification of changes in matter into physical and chemical changes quizlet
laiz [17]

Explanation:

The basis for classifying changes in matter into physical and chemical change is to see if a material is altered after going through a process.

In a physical change only the state of matter is usually altered especially its form or shape.

Chemical change alters a substance by producing new kinds that are totally different from it.

 • In a chemical change, new kinds of matter are usually formed.
 • Such changes are usually irreversible.
 • Change of state is a reversible process.

Which of the following does not change when a car keeps a constant speed but changes direction?
mestny [16]
An object which experiences either a change in the magnitude or the direction of the velocity vector can be said to be accelerating. This explains why an object moving in a circle at constant speed can be said to accelerate - the direction of the velocity changes.
