When doing an investigation, if you were to make a mistake what do you suppose you should do?

Chemistry

Answer:

Partly it depends on what kind of investigation. If you're talking about physical science and you're working independently you stop, find your error and correct it. Sometimes that can really set you back!

If you're talking about forensic science and a legal investigation is involved you bring it to the attention of your supervisor. Right away. In that case transparency is crucial - otherwise the whole case could be compromised.

How many liters of 0.305 M K3PO4 solution are necessary to completely react with 187 mL of 0.0184 M NiCl2 according to the balan
Mashutka [201]

Answer:

6.55 mL of K₃PO₄ are required

Explanation:

We need to propose the reaction, in order to begin:

2K₃PO₄ (aq) + 3NiCl₂(aq) → Ni₃(PO₄)₂ (s) ↓ + 6KCl (aq)

Molarity = mol/L (Moles of solute that are contained in 1 L of solution.)

M = mol / volume(L). Let's find out the moles of chloride:

- We first convert the volume from mL to L → 187 mL . 1L / 1000mL = 0.187L

0.0184 M . 0.187L = 0.00344 moles of NiCl₂

Ratio is 3:2. Let's propose this rule of three:

3 moles of chloride react with 2 moles of phosphate

Then, 0.00344 moles of NiCl₂ will react with (0.00344 . 2) /3 = 0.00229 moles of K₃PO₄

M = mol / volume(L) → Volume(L) = mol/M

Volume(L) = 0.00229 mol / 0.350 M = 6.55×10⁻³L

We convert the volume from L to mL → 6.55×10⁻³L . 1000mL /1L = 6.55 mL

The value of the equilibrium constant K depends on: I. the initial concentrations of the reactants. II. the initial concentratio
Elden [556K]

Answer:

None of these

Explanation:

For a reaction;

aA + bB ------>cC + dD

The equilibrium constant K is given as;

K = [C]^c [D]^d/[A]^a [B]^b

The equilibrium constant neither depends on the concentrations of the reactants nor on that of the products.

Let us recall that at equilibrium, the concentrations of reactants and products remain largely constant. This implies that, concentration of species do not appreciably change at equilibrium because the rates of forward and reverse reactions are equal.

Hence, the equilibrium constant neither depends on the initial/final concentrations of the reactants nor on the initial/final concentrations of the products.

How many hours are there in 34.5 years
4vir4ik [10]

Hi,

Answer: 30,2220 Hours

My work: There are 60 minutes in every hour and 8,760 hours in a year. To,easily achieve this problem you take 8,760 the hours in a year and multiply it with 34.5. (8,760 * 34.5) By doing this you get your answer of 302,220 Hours, or in minutes it would be 18,133,200 minutes.
