C) a volcanic hot spot.

Explanation:

Both the volcano and the seamount chain are thought to be the result of a volcanic hot-spot.

The Hawaiian -Emperor seamount chain and the active Kilauea shield volcano all formed due to an active volcanic hot spot.

A volcanic hotspot is a magma plume that is directly fed from the mantle. As the crust riding it moves, the hotspot remains  at spot.

This feeding hotspot produce series of linear or patterned volcanic body as the riding plate moves on top of it.

This what is in play in the Hawaiian region.

A 45.0 kilogram boy is riding a 15.0-kilogram bicycle with a speed of 8.00 meters per second. What is the combined kinetic energ
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

1920Joules

Explanation:

The formula for calculating the kinetic energy of a body is expressed as;

KE = 1/2 mv²

m isthe mass

V is the speed

For the two masses, the combined KE is expressed as;

KE  = 1/2(m1+m2)v²

KE = 1/2(45+15)(8)²

KE  = 1/2 * 60 * 64

KE  = 30 * 64

KE  = 1920J

Hence the combined kinetic energy of the boy and the bicycle is 1920Joules

A quantity found by multiplying the force by the distance moved
Andrej [43]
The quantity that is calculated from the product of the force and the distance traveled due to the force is called work.  It has SI units of Joules (J) which is equivalent to Newton-meter (N-m). It is the energy that happens when an object is being moved by an external force.
