Answer:

(d)  44.8°

Explanation:

For refraction,

Using Snell's law as:

\frac {sin\theta_2}{sin\theta_1}=\frac {n_1}{n_2}

Where,

Θ₁ is the angle of incidence

Θ₂ is the angle of refraction

n₁ is the refractive index of air which is 1

n₂ is the refractive index of water which is 4/3

Given that angle of incidence = 70°

So,

\frac {sin\theta_2}{sin70}=\frac {1}{\frac {4}{3}}

{sin\theta_2}=0.7048

<u>Angle of refraction = sin⁻¹ 0.7048 = 44.8°.</u>

wlad13 [49]
Technological advances clearly.

Theories change due to other peoples view on the matter and how they experiment with it, but Technology advancements are the greatest factor of all. I mean seriously, we wouldn't know of cells before the microscope and when they first invented it, it advanced further and now we can see things on a whole deeper lever.

A 250 kg flatcar 25 m long is moving with a speed of 3.0 m/s along horizontal frictionless rails. A 61 kg worker starts walking
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

x=31.09m

Explanation:

p1=p2

The momentum of flatcar and the momentum of the worker so

The velocity of the worker is:

m_{f}*v_{f}=m_{w}*v_{w}\\\\v_{f}=\frac{m_{f}*v_{f}}{m_{w}}\\v_{f}=\frac{61kg*3.0\frac{m}{s}}{250kg}\\v_{f}=0.732\frac{m}{s}

The total motion has a total velocity and is

Vt=v_{w}+v_{f}\\Vt=0.732\frac{m}{s}+3.0\frac{m}{s}\\Vt=3.732\frac{m}{s}

The time the worker take walking is

t=\frac{x}{v_{w}}\\t=\frac{25m}{3\frac{m}{s}}=8.33s

Now the total time and the total velocity determinate the motion of tha flatcar how far has moved

x=t*Vt\\x=8.33s*3.732\frac{m}{s} \\x=31.09m

What is the concentration of OH– ions at a pH = 6?
makkiz [27]
<h3><u>Answer;</u></h3>

1 × 10^-8 M

<h3><u>Explanation</u>;</h3>

pH is given by the -log[H+] while

pOH is given by the -log[OH-]

But;

pH + pOH = 14

Thus; if pH is 6, then pOH = 8

pOH = 8

-log[OH-] = 8

[OH-] = 10^-8 M

The concentration of OH- ions at a pH of 6 is 1 × 10^-8 M
