Answer: -

1.71 cm

Explanation: -

Density of aluminium = 2.70 g / cm^{3}

Mass of aluminium = 13.5 g

We know density of a substance is the mass of the substance per unit volume.

Density = Mass / volume

Volume = Mass / density

Volume of aluminium = Mass of aluminium / Density of Aluminium

= 13.5 g / 2.70 g/ cm^{3}

= 5 cm^{3}

We know for a cube volume = length^{3}

Length of the cube = Volume^{1/3}

= 5 ^{1/3}

=1.71 cm

Thus if the density of aluminium is 2.70g/cm^{3} and the cube of aluminum weights 13.5 grams, 1.71 cm is the length of the edge of the cube

CH4(g)+ 2 O2(g) + CO2(g) + 2 H20 (l)
jasenka [17]

Answer:

<u>∆H° reaction = -890.3 kJ</u>

Explanation:

The given equation is :

CH_{4}(g)+2O_{2}(g)\rightarrow CO_{2}(g)+2H_{2}O(l)

Now ,

O2 is in the standard state so its  ∆H° is zero.

∆H° is calculated by considering the formation of CO2 , H2O and CH4 .

C(s)+H_{2}(g)\rightarrow CO_{2}..........∆H°a = -393.5 kJ

H_{2}+\frac{1}{2}O_{2}\rightarrow H_{2}O(l).....∆H°b = -285.8 kJ

C+2H_{2}\rightarrow CH_{4}(g)..........∆H°c = -74.8 kJ

Multiply equation of water H2O by 2

and reverse the direction of equation of CH4

Hence the sign of ∆H°c = +74.8 kJ becomes +ve.

We are doing this because CH4 is to be in the reactant side not  in the product side.

∆H° reaction = ∆H°a +2(∆H°b) -∆H°c

∆H° reaction = -393.5 - 2(285.8) + 74.8

∆H° reaction = -890.3 kJ

I am worried about your proposal to install a groundwater heating system in my daughter’s school.
VikaD [51]

Answer: if the temp of the ground water from a seismic vent is actually 30 celcius then it would totally have enough energy to heat to room temperature which is close to half that temperature

you could simply pump the water through a forced air system and the air would absorb heat energy from the water that is circulated through and the air would leave warmer than when it came in.  it doesn't need to be increased by 30 degrees celcius, that is likely the sticking point for him

How many 2-tablespoon doses are in 4 bottles of medication containing 16 ounces each?
Dima020 [189]

1 tablespoon = 0.5 ounces

We are required to find for 2 table spoons.

2 table spoons = 2 x 0.5 = 1 ounce.

Each bottle has 16 ounce.

Number of bottles = 4

So total number = 4 x 16 = 64 ounces.

Number of 2 table spoons = \frac{64 ounce}{1 ounce}

= 64

Thus there are 64 2-tablespoon doses are in 4 bottles of medication containing 16 ounces each.
