Answer: B. Friction

Why? : Friction is a type of a force, in which it opposes the motion of the object, meaning that the moving object, tend to slow down, and eventually, loose energy.

Hope this helps! ~

What is the de broglie wavelength of a 149-g baseball traveling at 95.4 mph? (1 mile = 1.609 km, h = 6.63 × 10–34 j·s)?
boyakko [2]

The solution for the problem is:

Wavelength = Planck’s constant/(mass*velocity)

Planck’s constant= 6.63*10^-34 with units of J-s or kg-m^2/s^2-s

mass = 149g = 0.149 kg

velocity = 95.4.mi/1hr(1609.3m/1mi)(1hr/3600sec) = 42.65m/s

h/mv = 6.63*10^-34 kg-m^2/s^2-s/(42.65m/s*0.149kg)

wavelength = 1.04 *10^-34 m

The rechargeable batteries for a laptop computer need a much smaller voltage than what a wall socket provides. Therefore, a tran
mart [117]

Answer:

(a) 0.075

(b)20.1 mA

(c) 2.412 W

Explanation:

Vs = 9 V, is = 268 mA = 0.268 A

Vp = 120 V

(a) Let the number of turns in primary coil is Np and the number of turns in secondary coil of the transformer is Ns.

Ns / np = Vs / Vp

Ns / Np = 9 / 120

Ns / Np = 3 : 40 = 0.075

(b) Let the current drawn from the wall socket is ip.

Ns/ Np = ip / is

0.075 = ip / 0.268

ip = 0.0201 A = 20.1 mA

(c) Power delivered by the socket = Vp x ip = 120 x 0.0201 = 2.412 W

Power sent to the batteries = Vs x is = 9 x 0.268 = 2.412 W

A typical sugar cube has an edge length of 1 cm. If you had a cubical box that contained a mole of sugar cubes, what would its e
SOVA2 [1]
Since volume of each cube is 1 cm^3
Then we can get the volume of 1 mole of cubes, which is 1 * 6.02 * 10^23 cm^3
The edge edge = v^1/3
And the new adge that we are looking for: new edge = (6.02*10^23)^1/3== 1.8191 * 46415888.336
= 84435142.472

So, the final soution for the edge length of cube is 844km.

Do hope it helps!

A meteorite approaching a planet of mass M collides with an automatic space station orbiting the planet in a circular trajectory
Jet001 [13]
We are given with
M = mass of planet
R = radius of circular trajectory of the satellite
ms = mass of the station
mm = mass of the meteorite
ms = 10 mm
R/2 = new orbit distance

The speed of the meteorite can be solved using the law of conservation of momentum
ms vs + mm vm = (ms + mm) v
Since the new orbit distance is half the original
v = 2 vs

Substitute and solve for vs
