The discoverer of the electron was Thomson. J. J. Thomson portrayed his atom model to look like a plum pudding. In his model, he described that an atom is composed mainly of electrons stuck within a sea of positive material.

The process of chlorination in water treatment aims at ?
Andrews [41]

Answer:

What are the four bases found in DNA molecule???? Please send helppppp
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

DNA consists of molecules called nucleotides. Each nucleotide comprises a group of phosphates, a group of sugars and a base of nitrogen. The four forms of nitrogen bases are adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G) and cytosine (C). The sequence of these bases defines the DNA instructions or genetic code.

Explain how the valence electrons are related to the element's period.
AlekseyPX

Answer:

The number of valence electrons in an atom is reflected by its position in the periodic table of the elements (see the periodic table in the Figure below). Across each row, or period, of the periodic table, the number of valence electrons in groups 1–2 and 13–18 increases by one from one element to the next

What is somatic cell nucleus transfer??
OleMash [197]
It's just a way to create an ovum with a donor nucleus. It is done by implanting a donor nucleus (from the somatic cell) into an egg cell, or "enucleated oocyte." <span />

For the titration of a weak acid with a strong base what is the pKa of the weak acid if the pH is 6.72 at the equilvalence point
Paladinen [302]

Explanation:

We have to calculate pK_{a} value.

It is known that at the equivalence point concentration of acid is equal to the concentration of anion formed.

Hence,         [HA] = [A^{-}]

Now, relation between pK_{a} and pH is as follows.

                   pH = pK_{a} + log \frac{[A^{-}]}{[HA]}

Putting the values into the above formula as follows.

                   pH = pK_{a} + log \frac{[A^{-}]}{[HA]}

                  4.23 = pK_{a} + log (1)            (as [HA] = [A^{-}])

                   pK_{a} = 4.23                (as log (1) = 0)

or,                   pK_{a} = 4

Thus, we can conclude that pK_{a} of given weak acid is 4.
