Answer:

m = 2.72 \times 10^{-3} g

Explanation:

total number of protons in 5 gram of total mass is given as

N = \frac{m}{m_p}

here we have

N = \frac{5}{1.67262 \times 10^{-24}}

N = 2.99 \times 10^{24}

now to neutralize the charge we require same amount of negatively charge electrons

so we have

m = N(m_e)

m = (2.99 \times 10^{24})(9.1 \times 10^{-28})

m = 2.72 \times 10^{-3} g

A cube measures 3 cm on each side and has a mass of 25 g. What is its density.
Snowcat [4.5K]

Answer:

The density is:   0.926 \,\frac{g}{cm^3}

Explanation:

Recall that density is defined as the quotient of the object's mass divided by volume. So, we calculate the volume of the 3 cm side cube:

Vol = (3 \,cm)^3 = 27 \,\,cm^3

then the density becomes:

density=\frac{mass}{Vol} =\frac{25}{27} \,\frac{g}{cm^3} \approx 0.926 \,\frac{g}{cm^3}

If you dropped a ball off a building, how far would it fall in 3 seconds?
tangare [24]
If you drop a ball off a building it increases its speed by 10 m/s so in 3 seconds it’s speed would be 30 m/s and it’s distance would be 45m

What is the purpose of a heat pump?
VikaD [51]

The heat pump is a thermal machine that takes heat from a cold space and transfers it to a hotter one thanks to a work provided from the outside, that is, it does exactly the same as the refrigerating machine, the only thing that changes is the objective (In the refrigerating machine the objective is to cool and keep the cold space cold. The heat pump, however, aims to provide heat and keep the hot space warm)

Therefore the correct answer is A. <em>A heat pump uses work to transfer energy by heat from a colder environment to a warmer environment.</em>

A box-shaped metal can has dimensions 6 in by 2 in by 12 in high. All of the air inside the can is removed with a vacuum pump. A
leva [86]

Answer:

a) The total force is 4659.8 N

b) The gauge pressure is 50764 Pa

Explanation:

Given:

Pressure inside = 0

Patm = pressure outside = 1.013x10⁵Pa

Pressure difference = ΔP = 1.013x10⁵ - 0 = 1.013x10⁵Pa

a) The area is equal:

A=12*6=72in^{2} =0.046m^{2}

The force is:

F=delta-P*A=1.013x10^{5} *0.046=4659.8N

b) The gauge pressure at the bottom is equal:

P=\rho gh

Where:

ρ = density = 1000 kg/m³

h = 17 ft = 5.18 m

Replacing:

P=1000*9.8*5.18=50764Pa
