Answer: a polar covalent bond

Explanation:

A covalent bond is formed when an element shares its valence electron with another element. This bond is formed between two non metals.

A polar covalent bond is defined as the bond which is formed when there is a difference of electronegativities between the atoms.  Example: HBr

Non polar covalent bond is defined as the bond which is formed when there is no difference of electronegativities between the atoms. Example: N_2

An ionic bond is formed when an element completely transfers its valence electron to another element. The element which donates the electron is known as electropositive element and the element which accepts the electrons is known as electronegative element. This bond is formed between a metal and an non-metal. Example: NaCl

H and Br are both non-metals which means the bond that comes in between them is covalent. If the composing elements are non-metal and metal, then the bond should be ionic. In this case, HBR is considered polar because the Br atom pulls on the electron much harder than the H atom. Answer is C.

Resonance structures are not real. An individual resonance structure does not accurately represent the structure of a molecule o
tatiyna

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Resonance is a concept in chemistry that describes bonding in polyatomic molecules or ions whose structure cannot be efficiently described by a single Lewis structure. Individual resonance structures do not actually exist, that is, they are not real. None of the contributing resonance structures can be said to adequately represent the molecule or ion. However, the hybrid of all the possible resonance structures of the molecule or ion gives a holistic representation of the exact structure of the molecule or ion.

Relative to ultraviolet waves, the wavelength of infrared waves is
valentina_108 [34]
The wavelength of infrared waves is between 700 nm and 1 mm, this in is in contrast to ultraviolet waves which has a wavelength in the range of 10 nm to 400 nm. This means that the wavelength of infrared waves is considerably longer than that of the ultraviolet waves.
