You are at a train station, standing next to the train at the front of the first car. The train starts moving with constant acce

leration, and 9.0 s later the back of the first car passes you.How long does it take after the train starts moving until the back of the seventh car passes you? All cars are the same length.t=?

Answer:

The answer is t = 23.81 s

Explanation:

A car in this question means those partition that make up the train

       Let denote the the of each car as Z

The equation of motion that has to do with distance is given as

                 S = ut + (1/2)at²

          Where u = initial velocity = 0

                       t = time = 9 s

Substituting these values we have

                       Z = (1/2) a(9)²

                          = 40.5 a

making acceleration the subject we have that a = Z / 40.5

                    Let us denote the length of the 7th car as =7Z

Considering the distance at the 7th car we have

                    S₇ = ut₇ + (1/2)at²₇

          Where  u = initial velocity =0

     Substituting values we have

                    7Z = (1/2)(Z/40.5)(t₇)²

                      7  = {1/2 ×40.5}(t₇)²

                    t₇²  = 7 × 2 × 40.5

                   t₇²    =  567

                   t₇     =  23.81 s

In some plants, the pistils don’t Form until a few days after the stamens do.How might this keep a plant from self pollinating
KATRIN_1 [288]

For a flower to be pollinated, pollen from an anther (which is located at the top of the stamen) needs to reach a stigma (at the top of the pistle.) Some plants are genetically capable of pollinating themselves if their own pollen reaches their own stigma; some plants are not capable of self pollination under any circumstances.

For plants that can genetically self pollinate, but would prefer not to, they can avoid this by having their pistil and pollen/stamens mature at different times. If the stamens mature first, the pollen will be dispersed by animals or wind or whatever dispersal mechanism it relies on. Then by the time the pistil is ready to be pollinated, there is no pollen left in that flower to land on the stigma.

Which type of communications equipment functions as a radio receiver and searches across several frequencies?
krok68 [10]

A scanner is a type of communications equipment that functions as a radio receiver and searches across several frequencies.

A scanner is a kind of a radio receiver that has the ability to receive multiple signals.

There are three modes which a scanner uses for acting as a radio receiver. The scan mode of the radio receiver constantly changes frequencies that helps in transmissions. There is also a manual scan mode that allows the users to search for their interested frequencies. The search mode allows the users to search through two sets of frequencies.

A scanner is a type of communication equipment that is easy to use with various features such as the volume, numeric keypad, trunk tracking etc.

Why a raw egg shell disolves when submerge in vineger
quester [9]
If you soak this egg shell in vinegar (which is about 4% acetic acid), you start a chemical reaction that dissolves the calcium carbonate shell. The acetic acid reacts with the calcium carbonate in the egg shell and releases carbon dioxide gas that you see as bubbles on the shell.
