Answer: Molarity of final solution = 2.07M

Explanation:

Since the amount or number of moles of the solute (NaCl) is constant for the two solutions, we determine it first.

Molarity = no. of moles of solute / volume of solution in liters

Molarity of initial solution is 1.5M, Volume = 345mL or 0.345L

No. of moles = Molarity * volume

No. of moles = 1.5 * 0.345 = 0.5175 moles.

Volume of final solution = 250Ml or 0.250L,

No. of moles = 1.5 * 0.345 = 0.5175 moles

Molarity of final solution = 0.5175moles / 0.250L

Molarity of final solution = 2.07M

Answer:

A. copper is highly water soluble. It will turn into 5 different hydrates as it absorbs more and more water.

b. Glycerol is easily soluble in water, due to the ability of the polyol groups to form hydrogen bonds with water molecules

c. octane is considered to be non-polar, it will not be soluble in water, since water is a polar solvent. This will happen because octane (hydrocarbons in general) contains neither ionic groups, nor polar functional groups that can interact with water molecules.

d. Nitric acid decomposes into water, nitrogen dioxide, and oxygen, forming a brownish yellow solution.

e. Barium carbonate is a white powder. It is insoluble in water and soluble in most acids

show by means of a balanced equation how many moles of N2 will be used in reaction to H2 to form 17 moles of NH3
77julia77 [94]
The balanced chemical reaction is:

N2 + 3H2 = 2NH3

We are given the amount of the product to be produced. This will be the starting point of our calculations.

17 mol NH3 ( 1 mol N2 / 2 mol NH3 ) = 8.5 mol N2

Therefore, the required N2 to produce the given amount of ammonia is 8.5 mol.
