Consider the following list of gases:

Chemistry

7 0

Explanation:

Molecules which are either polar in nature or contain a polar covalent bond are able to dissolve in water. This is because like dissolves like.

For example, SO_{3} is a polar covalent compound and when it is dissolved in water then its reaction is as follows.

       SO_{3} + H_{2}O \rightarrow H_{2}SO_{4}

This shows that a chemical reaction will take place when SO_{3} is dissolved in water.

Also, HI is a polar covalent compound and it will readily dissolve in water as hydrogen iodide (HI) is a polar covalent molecule.

On the other hand, H_{2}, SF_{6}, and C_{2}H_{4} does not dissolve in water as all of these are non-polar covalent compounds.

Thus, we can conclude that the gas most likely to dissolve in water as a result of chemical reaction is SO_{3} and the gas most likely to dissolve in water because of strong intermolecular interactions is HI.

HELP. What change in state occurs when water boils? And why does this change happen??
Lapatulllka [165]
Boiling is the process by which a liquid turns into a vapor when it is heated to it’s boiling point. The change from a liquid phase to a gaseous phase occurs when the vapor pressure of the liquid is equal to the atmospheric pressure exerted on the liquid. Boiling is a physical change and molecules are not chemically altered during the process.
Hope that helped!

Answer:

<u>True</u>

Explanation:

|ndeed,  Psychologist Abraham Maslow's sought to describe hierarchy in which the average (or most) humans place their needs. In other words, he believes we as humans have basic needs which we long to satisfy.

On the ranking or hierarchy, according to Maslow the need humans satisfy first is their physiological need. Here's the full hierarchy:
