Answer:

The time taken for the light to travel from the earth to the sun = 496.67 seconds

Explanation:

Estimated distance of the earth to the sun = 149000000km

Speed of light = 300000km/s

Time taken for the light to travel from the sun to the earth = ?

Speed = Distance/time

time = Distance/speed

time = 149000000/300000

time = 496.67 s

The time taken for the light to travel from the earth to the sun = 496.67 seconds

What kind of organisms are able to convert sunlight into usable energy?
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

Photosynthetic organisms

Explanation:

The electromagnetic energy of sunlight is converted to chemical energy in the chlorophyll-containing cells of photosynthetic organisms. In eukaryotic cells these reactions occur in the organelle known as the chloroplast

Hope this helps! :)

Vector → A points due north and vector → B points due west. Both vectors have the same magnitude. Which of the following vectors
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

B - A

Explanation:

For the combination of 2 vector to due southwest, 1 vector must due south and the other vector due west. Since vector B is already due west, vector A should due south. As vector A is already due north, vector -A would due south. So the combination of B + (-A) or B - A should points southwest

Radio waves are readily diffracted around buildings, whereas light waves are negligibly diffracted around buildings. This is bec
Tom [10]

Answer:

Radio waves have longer wavelength

Explanation:

Radio wave is an electromagnetic frequency that has the ability to travel through long distance. They have frequencies shuttling been the range of 10^4 hz and a frequency of 10^12 hz

Light wave is also called visible light. This is because it is visible to the naked eye, despite it being in the electromagnetic spectrum. It's frequency is usually between 4*10^-7 hz and a frequency of 7*10^-7 hz.

As can be seen from both, the radio waves length are quite far stronger than that of the light waves.

A book falls of the table and hits the floor. Is work done? Why?
morpeh [17]

Yes, work is done when a book falls of the table.

This is because:

When the book falls, it's potential energy is converted into kinetic energy. As it reaches the floor down, this kinetic energy is converted to heat energy and sound energy due to the impact.

When a force is imposed on an object to cause displacement of that object, work is done on that object. For a force to do work on an object, there should be a displacement and this force should cause the displacement. So here, since the book falls from the table and causes the displacement of the book from the table to the floor. It is said that work is done.

Work can be given by the formula:

W = F • d

where F is the force and d is the displacement.
