749.69 ml is the new volume if, with the pressure and amount of gas held constant the temperature is decreased to 253 K.

Explanation:

Data given:

Initial volume of the neon gas V1 = 886 ml

initial pressure of the neon gas P1 = 752 torr or

initial temperature of the neon gas T1 = 299 K

Final volume =?

pressure constant so final pressure = initial pressure hence P2 = P1

fInal temperature of the neon gas T2 = 253 K

applying the Gay Lussac equation

\frac{P1V1}{T1} = \frac{P2V2}{T2}

Pressure can be removed from the equation as it is constant, so we apply Charles' Law equation:

\frac{V1}{T1} = \frac{V2}{T2}

rearranging the above equation to know final volume:

V2=  \frac{V1T2}{T1}

V2 = \frac{886 X253 }{299}

V2 = 749.69 ml

final volume is 749.69 ml

What mass of oxalic acid dihydrate, H2C2O4•2H2O, is needed to make a 0.357 M solution of oxalic acid in a 250.0mL volumetric fla
GalinKa [24]

Molarity is expressed as the number of moles of solute per volume of the solution. The mass of oxalic acid dihydrate needed for the solution is calculated as follows:

Amount in moles: (0.357 mol H2C2O4•2H2O / L) (.250 L ) = 0.0893 mol H2C2O4•2H2O

Amount in mass : 0.0893 mol H2C2O4•2H2O (126.08 g / mol ) = 11.2589 g H2C2O4•2H2O

Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
