Answer: one way is that the atom will share an electron. Sorry i only know 1 way

Explanation: for example, if Cl with 7 electrons wants to bond with Ar, that has a conplete set of 8 electrons, then Ar will share its electron to fill in the space of the missing electron in Cl.

*JUST AN EXAMPLE. IM NOT SAYING CL AND AR DO FORM A BOND.

Which of the following statements is/are true of oxides? 1. A basic oxide is an oxide that reacts with bases. 2. An acidic oxide
lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

Correct option: 3

Explanation:

A basic oxide is an oxide that reacts with water to give base or reacts with acid to form salt

eg:

Sodium oxide reacts with water to produce sodium hydroxide.

Magnesium oxide gives magnesium chloride on reaction with hydrochloric acid

An acidic oxide is an oxide that reacts with water to give acid and reacts with base to give salt.

eg: Carbon dioxide gives carbonic acid on reaction with water .

Sulfur dioxide gives sulfites when reacs reacts with bases.

An amphoteric oxide is an oxide which reacts with base as well acid and it shows because metal have multiple oxidation state and they can form oxide as well hydroxide

eg: Al_2O_3

A student obtains the following data for his experimental runs for the unknown acid
devlian [24]
The % error in the student’s data is
Correct score - run score/ correct score * 100
In run 1 we have
 0.2542 - 0.2541/0.2542 * 100 = 0.000393391031 = 0.03933%
In run 2 we have
0.2542 - 0.2668/0.2542 * 100 = -0.00495672699 = -0.495%
In run 3 we have
0.2542 - 0.2549/0.2542 * 100 = -0.00275373721 = -0.275%
And run 4 we have
0.2542 - 0.2554/0.2542 * 100 = 0.00495672699 = 0.495

The spread are 0.2542 - 0.2541 = 0.0001 and 0.2542 - 0.2668 = -0.0126
Also 0.2542 - 0.2549 = -0.0007 and 0.2542 - 0.2554 = -0.0012
