Guys- my science teacher doesn't teach, he just says go on schoology
Free_Kalibri [48]
The relative mass of each element can be found from the periodic table (the larger number). For instance, P2O5, P = 31.0 O = 16.0, thus the formula mass (Mr) is 2(31) + 5(16) = 142 amu (atomic mass unit). I used a not really specific periodic table. Maybe your teacher is referring to open Schoology (a website where teacher can post files or announcements to students in his or her class). Sorry if i got something mistaken.

If an object has 25 newtons of force pushing from the left and 26 newtons of force pushing from the right the object will
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

C. move left

Explanation:

The object will move towards the left direction due to the unbalanced forces that are acting on it.

The resultant force on the object will be 1N in the left direction

  • The resultant force on a body is that singular force that will have the same effect as the different forces that acts on a body
  • When forces acts in opposite directions, they are subtracted
  • The object will move in the direction of the one with the greater force

So;

  Resultant force = 26N - 25N  = 1N

The body moves 1N to the left

How much energy is required to evaporate grams of water?.
gregori [183]

Answer:

energy known as the latent heat of vaporization is required to break the hydrogen bonds. At 100 °C, 540 calories per gram of water are needed to convert one gram of liquid water to one gram of water vapour under normal pressure.

As the pressure on the surface of a liquid decreases, the temperature at which the liquid will boil
ankoles [38]

Answer: option (1) decreases.

Explanation:

May be you have experienced that: when you go to the beach, where the atmposhpere pressure is greater than the atmosphere pressure in places that are at higher altitudes, the water takes longer to boil. That is because the boiling temperature is greater, and you need more total heat (more time) to permit the liquid to reach that temperature.

The reason why that happens is because substances boil when the vapor pressure (the pressure of the particles of vapor over the liquid) equals the atmosphere pressure. So, when the atmposhere pressure increases, the temperature at which the vapor pressure reaches the atmosphere pressure also increases, and when the atmosphere pressure decreases, the temperature at which the vapor pressure reaches the atmosphere pressure decreases.
