Answer:

The correct answer is

d. An iron cage

Max Weber is well known for developing the theoretical concept of the iron cage

Explanation:

The theory of the iron was first presented by the sociologist Max Weber in the work  The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism.

Here Weber clarified that with the diminishing effect of Protestantism within our social life the capitalist system remained as well as the bureaucratic principles and social structures that came about along with came along with it, such the worldviews and values becomes major controlling factors in socil life which is tantamount to living in a strong house maade of steel

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! MT TIME FOR MY TEST IS ALMOST OVER!!!
pav-90 [236]

Answer:

50 N

Explanation:

Let the natural length of the spring = L

so

100 = k(40 - L)       (1)

200 = k(60 - L)       (2)

(2)/(1):   2 = (60 - L)/(40 - L)

60 - L = 2(40 - L)

60 - L = 80 - 2L

2L - L = 80 - 60

L = 20

Sub it into (1):

100 = k(40 - 20) = 20k

k = 100/20 = 5 N/in

Now

X = k(30 - L) = 5(30 - 20) = 50 N

a 0.15 kg baseball has a momentum of 0.78 kg*m/s just before it lands on the ground. What was the ball's speed just before landi
vovangra [49]

5.2m/s

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of baseball = 0.15kg

Momentum of baseball = 0.78kgm/s

Unknown:

Speed of baseball = ?

Solution:

The momentum of the baseball is a function of the product of the mass and velocity. It is a vector quantity:

        Momentum = mass x velocity

 Since the speed of the ball is unknown:

           Velocity  =  \frac{momentum }{mass}

                           = \frac{0.78}{0.15}

                           = 5.2m/s

The speed of the baseball before it lands is 5.2m/s

A car driving down a hill contains many types of energy. DESCRIBE at least 3 types of energy the car has.
VikaD [51]

Once the car is on top of the hill it contains potential energy witch means it is storing enough energy to slide the hill until acted on. Once the car moves and slides down the hill it creates kinetic energy witch means it's in motion. The car then turns the kinetic energy into mechanical energy witch means it's working. I'm not sure if that helped but good luck!
