Answer:

Angle=70°

Explanation:

Given data

a=2i-5j+k

b=9i-k

To find

Angle Θ

Solution

As we know from dot product rule that

a.b=|a||b|cos\alpha \\cos\alpha=\frac{a.b}{|a||b|}\\\alpha=cos^{-1} (\frac{a.b}{|a||b|})

First we need to find a.b

As

i.i=j.j=k.k=1

i.j=i.k=j.k=0

So

a.b=(18)+(-1)\\a.b=17

Now for |a| and |b|

|a|=\sqrt{x^{2} +y^{2}+z^{2}  }\\|a|=\sqrt{(2)^{2} +(-5)^{2}+(1)^{2}  }\\ |a|=5.477\\And\\|b|=\sqrt{x^{2} +y^{2}+z^{2}  }\\|b|=\sqrt{(9)^{2} +(0)^{2}+(-1)^{2}  }\\|b|=9.055

So the angle is given as

\alpha=cos^{-1} (\frac{a.b}{|a||b|})\\\alpha=cos^{-1} (\frac{17}{(5.477)*(9.055)})\\\alpha =70^{o}

Molly is jogging on the treadmill. After 20 minutes, her heart rate has not increased, she is able to talk, and she is not sweat
lakkis [162]
Molly could increase her heart rate by turning around and jogging backwards, by jogging on her hands instead of her feet, or by continuing to jog normally but increasing the speed of the treadmill.

what is the closest to the order of magnitude of the energy rquired to split a nucleus in to its individual protons and neutrons
skad [1K]

Answer:

More than two million electron volts.

Explanation:

More than two million electron volts energy are needed to break or split a deuteron into a proton and a neutron. Nuclear binding energy is the type of energy that is required to split an atom's nucleus into protons and neutrons. The deuteron is an isotope of hydrogen that is composed of a proton and a neutron and it is a stable particle. Very huge amount of energy is needed for the splitting of nucleus due to the presence of heavy particles i.e. proton and neutron.

A ball is thrown at an angle of to the ground. If the ball lands 90 m away, what was the initial speed of the ball?
andre [41]

Answer:

The initial speed of the ball is 30 m/s.

Explanation:

It can be assumed that the ball is thrown at an angle of 45 degrees to the ground. The ball lands 90 m away. We need to find the initial speed of the ball. We know that the horizontal distance covered by the projectile is called its range. It is given by :

R=\dfrac{u^2\ sin2\theta}{g}

u is the initial speed of the ball.

v=\sqrt{\dfrac{Rg}{sin2\theta}}

v=\sqrt{\dfrac{90\times 9.8}{sin2(45)}}

v = 29.69 m/s

or

v = 30 m/s

So, the initial speed of the ball is 30 m/s. Hence, this is the required solution.
