Newton’s Third Law describes two different bodies acting on each other.
now you've considered the action and reactions based on d ball, but have u considered the force the athlete exacts on the ground which is external to the athlete-ball system, now the ground in which the athlete stands exert a force back on the athelete-ball system which causes the ball to accelerate

nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

the magnitude of the electric force on the projectile is 0.0335N

Explanation:

time of flight t = 2·V·sinθ/g

= (2 * 6.0m/s * sin35º) / 9.8m/s²

= 0.702 s

The body travels for this much time and cover horizontal displacement x from the point of lunch

So, use kinematic equation for horizontal motion

horizontal displacement

x = Vcosθ*t + ½at²

2.9 m = 6.0m/s * cos35º * 0.702s + ½a * (0.702s)²

a = -2.23 m/s²

This is the horizontal acceleration of the object.

Since the object is subject to only electric force in horizontal direction, this acceleration is due to electric force only

Therefore,the magnitude of the electric force on the projectile will be

F = m*|a|

= 0.015kg * 2.23m/s²

= 0.0335 N

Thus, the magnitude of the electric force on the projectile is 0.0335N

Charlie Brown kicks a football at 24.5 m/s at 35.0. What is the maximum height of the ball?
lozanna [386]

Answer:

d = 10.076 m

Explanation:

We need to obtain the velocity of the ball in the y direction

Vy  = 24.5m/s * sin(35) = 14.053 m/s

To obtain the distance, we use the formula

vf^2 = v0^2 -2*g*d

but vf = 0

d = -vo^2/2g

d = (14.053)^2/2*(9.8) = 10.076 m

A person walks 2 miles every day to work, leaving her front porch at 7:00 A.M. and arriving at work at 7:30 A.M. ON the way home
Nataly [62]

Answer:

The displacement is zero miles

Explanation:

The displacement of an object that moves from point A to point B is defined as

d =B-A

Where d is the displacement of the object. The displacement does not depend on the trajectory of the object. It only depends on the linear distance between the end point and the starting point.

In this case we know that the person walks from home to work and then walks from work to home. Therefore, the total displacement is the linear distance between the point where its journey begins and the point where the route ends.

The tour begins on the front porch of your house and ends on the front porch of your house (when you return from work). If we call A to the front porch of the house then the displacement is:

d = A-A = 0

The displacement is zero miles, since the person finishes the journey just where it started (front porch)
