Answer;

N2O (Nitrogen (i) oxide.

Explanation;

The decomposition would be; 2N2O(g) = 2N2 (g)+ O2 (g)

Which means the ratio of; N2O :N2 :O2 = 2:2:1

The volume of colorless gas is 2.5 liters, N2 is 2.5 liters and oxygen is 1.25 liters; which also gives us a ratio of; 2: 2: 1.

Alternatively; here is twice as much N2 as O2. therefore; the formula would be N2O (nitrogen dioxide) to make 1 volume of N2 for every 2 volumes of O2.

Determine the volume of occupied by 4 moles of carbon dioxide gas at
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

Vol of 4 moles CO₂(g) at STP = 89.6 Liters

Explanation:

STP

P = 1 Atm

V =

T = 0°C = 273 K

n = 4 moles

R = 0.08206 L·Atm/mol·K

Using Ideal Gas Law PV = nRT => V = nRT/P

V = (4 moles)(0.08206 L·Atm/mol·K)(273 K)/(1 Atm) = 89.6 Liters

A solid, pure substance containing just carbon and hydrogen is found to contain 35.8g of carbon and 3.72 g of hydrogen. how many
Igoryamba

Answer:

            4.36 g of Carbon

Solution:

Step 1: Calculate the %age of Carbon in given Solid as;

                        Mass of Carbon  =  35.8 g

                        Mass of Hydrogen  =  3.72

                        Total Mass  =  35.8 g + 3.72  =  39.52 g

                        %age of Carbon  =  (35.8 g ÷ 39.52 g) × 100

                        %age of carbon  =  90.58 %

Step 2: Calculate grams of Carbon in 4.82 g of given solid as;

                        Mass of Carbon  =  4.82 g × (90.58 ÷ 100)

                        Mass of Carbon  =  4.36 g
