Answer:

4649.16 g

Explanation:

We are given;

  • The equation for the reaction

2C₄H₁₀ + 13O₂→ 8CO₂ + 10H₂O

  • Mass of C₄H₁₀

We are required to determine the mass of water produced.

Step: Determine the number of moles of C₄H₁₀

We know that, moles = Mass ÷ Molar mass

Molar mass of C₄H₁₀ is 58.14 g/mol

Therefore;

Moles of C₄H₁₀ = 3000 g ÷ 58.14 g/mol

                         = 51.5996

                        = 51.60 moles

Step 2: Determine the number of moles of water

  • From the equation, 2 moles of C₄H₁₀ reacts to produce 10 moles of water

Therefore;

Moles of water = Moles of C₄H₁₀ × 10/2

                         = 51.60 moles × 5

                         = 258 moles

Step 3: Determine the mass of water produced

We know that; mass = moles × molar mass

Molar mass of water = 18.02 g/mol

Thus;

Mass of water = 258 moles × 18.02 g/mol

                        = 4649.16 g

Therefore, the mass of water produced will be 4649.16 g

Answer:

1298 g

Explanation:

Data Given

mass of C₄H₁₀ = 3000 g

mass of water H₂O (Theoretical yield) = ?

Reaction Given:

                   2C₄H₁₀ + 13O2 -----> 8CO₂ + 10H₂O

Solution:

First find the mass of C₄H₁₀ from the reaction that it give how many grams of water.

Look at the reaction

                     2C₄H₁₀ + 13O2 -----> 8CO₂ + 10H₂O

                     2 mol                                       10 mol

So 2 mole of C₄H₁₀ give 10 moles of H₂O

Now

convert the moles into mass for which we have to know molar mass of C₄H₁₀ and H₂O

Molar mass of C₄H₁₀ = 4 (12) + 10(16) = 48 + 160

Molar mass of C₄H₁₀ =  208 g/mol

mass of C₄H₁₀

                 mass in grams = no. of moles x molar mass

                 mass of C₄H₁₀ = 2 mol x 208 g/mol

                 mass of C₄H₁₀ = 416 g

Molar mass of H₂O = 2+ 16

Molar mass of H₂O = 18g/mol

mass of H₂O

                 mass in grams = no. of moles x molar mass

                 mass of H₂O = 10 mol x 18 g/mol

                 mass of H₂O = 180 g

So,

416 g of C₄H₁₀ gives 180 g of water ( H₂O ) then how many grams of water will produced by 3000 g of C₄H₁₀

Apply unity Formula

             416 g of C₄H₁₀ ≅ 180 g of water ( H₂O )

            3000 g of C₄H₁₀ ≅ X g of water ( H₂O )

By cross multiplication

         g of water ( H₂O )  = 180 g x 3000 g / 416 g

         g of water ( H₂O )  = 1298 g

1298 g of water (H₂O) will produced by 3000 g of C₄H₁₀

So

The Theoretical yield of water (H₂O) = 1298 g

What are valence electrons ?
Arada [10]

Answer:In chemistry, a valence electron is an outer shell electron that is associated with an atom, and that can participate in the formation of a chemical bond if the outer shell is not closed; in a single covalent bond, both atoms in the bond contribute one valence electron in order to form a shared pair.

Is material that has a density of 0.2g/ml good for building a bridge or for making couch cushions
lisov135 [29]
D = 0.2 g / ml = 0.2 g / cm³
For example, density of steel is 7.85 g / cm³.
Density of pure water is 1.0 g/cm³. An object which has a density < 1.0 g/cm³ will float in water.
Answer: Material that has a density of 0.2 g/ml ( 0.2 g/cm³ ) is good for making couch cushions.
