Write and balance the equation

C7H16 + 11 O2 -> 7 CO2 + 8 H2O

According to the stoichiometry of the reaction one mol of heptane will react with 11 mol of molecular oxygen, then

1.42 mol O2 x 1 mol heptane/ 11 mol O2 = 0.129 mol

4P+ 5O2 -> P4O10
Ratling [72]
If 4 moles of P is used by 5 mole of O2
then....0.489 moles will be used by 5/4 × .489 = .611 moles of O2

so .611 moles

so if 4 moles of P is burnt , 1 mole of P4O10 is produced ....so for .489 moles...... .489/4=.122 moles !
so mass will be .122× 283.89 = 34.7 grams

so first ans is .611 moles and second is 34.7 grams !

if you have any problem regarding this , just comment !!!

Calcium reacts with Hydrochloric acid to produce Calcium chloride and
hammer [34]

Answer:

Mass = 2.77 g

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass of HCl = 2 g

Mass of CaCl₂ produced = ?

Solution:

Chemical equation:

2HCl + Ca    →     CaCl₂ + H₂

Number of moles of HCl:

Number of moles = mass / molar mass

Number of moles = 2 g/ 36.5 g/mol

Number of moles = 0.05 mol

now we will compare the moles of HCl with CaCl₂.

                   HCl       :         CaCl₂

                     2         :          1

                   0.05     :       1/2×0.05 = 0.025 mol

Mass of CaCl₂:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.025 mol × 110.98 g/mol

Mass = 2.77 g
