The drawing shows an empty fuel tank about to be released by three different jet planes. At the moment of release, each plane ha

s the same speed, and each tank is at the same height above the ground. However, the directions of the velocities of the planes are different. Which tank has the largest speed upon hitting the ground? Ignore friction and air resistance.

Answer:

v=\sqrt{2gh}

each tank hits the ground with same speed as above.

Explanation:

When fuel tanks are released there velocity u=0 m/s

all are released from the same height let it be h

let the velocity when they hit the ground be v

now using the equation

v^2-u^2=2gh

where g= acceleration due to gravity

put u=o and rearranging we get

v=\sqrt{2gh}

clearly, velocity is only dependent on the height h, which is same for all hence, we conclude that each tank hits the ground with same speed as above.

a body of mass 20kg initially at rest is subjected to a force of 40N for 1sec calculate the change in kinetic energy showing the
Tema [17]

Answer:

Change in KE is 40 J

Explanation:

Recall that the impulse exerted on an object equal the change of momentum of the object (ΔP), which in time is defined as the product of the force exerted on it times the time the force was acting:

Change in momentum is:   ΔP = F * Δt

In our case,

ΔP = 40 N * 1 sec = 40 N s

Since the object was initially at rest, its initial momentum was zero, and the final momentum should then be 40 N s.

So, the initial KE was 0, and the final (KEf) can be calculated using:

KEf = 1 /(2 m) Pf^2 = 1 / (40) 40^2 = 40 J

So, the change in kinetic energy is:

KEf - KEi = 40 J - 0 j = 40 J

The phase of matter which is exposed to normal atmospheric pressure is solely dependent upon temperature? true or false
Diano4ka-milaya [45]
The statement above is true. The phase of matter which is exposed to normal atmospheric pressure is indeed solely dependent upon temperature. If the matter is exposed to the normal atm pressure, its temperature depends on it.

find the pressure exerted by a force of 8000 newtons on an area of 25m square..give your answer in Newtown/m2
baherus [9]

Answer:

Pressure = 320 N/m²

Explanation:

Given the following data;

Force = 8000 Newton

Area = 25 m²

To find the pressure, we would use the following formula;

Pressure = force/area

Substituting into the formula, we have;

Pressure = 8000/25

Pressure = 320 N/m²

MArishka [77]

Answer:

Frontal

Explanation:

Brad has experienced a relatively severe left hemisphere stroke. As a result, he is unable to move his right arm and has a great deal of difficulty with planning and attention. The stroke most likely caused damage to the _Frontal_______ lobes.

Frontal lobes are our emotional control center. Frontal lobes are responsible for our memory, relationships, language, irritation, judgement and social and sexual behavior.
