Hello~! Your answer iiiiisss...

B) 2 hydrogen, 1 sulfur, 4 oxygen.

Here's why:

The subscripts (the little numbers next to the element symbol) tells you how many atoms there are for the symbol on the left.

H₂ S O₄

So, there are two hydrogen atoms, one sulfur atom (beacuse there's no number next to it), and four oxygen atoms.

I hoped this helped you!

The purpose of the salt bridge in an electrochemical cell is to ____.
IgorLugansk [536]

Answer:

A. maintain electrical neutrality in the half-cells via migration of ions

Explanation:

Salt bridge -

For an electrochemical reaction , involving an anode and a cathode , both the electrodes are connect via a salt bridge to complete the circuit for the reaction .

One of the very important use of a salt bridge is to maintain the electrical neutrality of the respective half cells , which is achieved by the movement of ions .

Hence , from the given options , the correct option is ( a ) .

How many molecules of H2O are there in 1.0 g of H2O?
NISA [10]
Molar mass H₂O = 18.0 g/mol

number of moles :

1.0 / 18.0 => 0.055 moles

1 mole -------------- 6.02 x 10²³ molecules
0.055 moles -------- ? molecules

molecules = 0.055 x ( 6.02 x 10²³) / 1

molecules = 3.311x10²² / 1

= 3.311 x 10²² molecules

hope this helps!

What mass of solute should you measure out in order to make 1,000 mL of a 0.3 M solution of magnesium phosphate Mg3(PO4)2?
vivado [14]

Hey there !

Molecular Weight: 262.86 g/mol

Volume in liters : 1,000 mL => 1,000 / 1000 => 1 L

Number of moles of solution :

number of moles = volume x molarity

number of moles = 1 x 0.3 => 0.3 moles

Therefore:

1 mole Mg₃(PO₄)₂ ------------------- 262.86 g

0.3 moles ----------------------------- mass of Mg₃(PO₄)₂ ??

mass of Mg₃(PO₄)₂ = 0.3 x 262.86 / 1

mass of Mg(PO₄)₂ => 78.858 g

Hope this helps!

2. minutes

3. Kelvin (K)

4. Kilometer/hour

5. hours

6. Litre

7. metre

8. metre

9. Litres

10. milliliters

Explanation:

1. Coca-Cola is a liquid substance, hence, its volume must be measured in LITRES.

2. This question is related to time I.e. being early, hence, the unit of measurement is MINUTES.

3. The unit of temperature is Kelvin (K). Therefore, water boils at 373K

4. This question is related to speed, whose unit of measurement is kilometer/hour (km/hr).

5. A movie runs with time, which is measured in HOURS.

6. Mineral water is a liquid, which can only be bought per volume. Hence, the appropriate unit is LITRE.

7. Height is measured in metres (m). Therefore, one can say that " the height of your younger brother is 10metres"

8. The length of a substance is also measured in metres.

9. Volume is measured in LITRES

10. Cough syrup is a drug whose volume is quantified by millilitres i.e. a thousandth litre
