What is the value of the voltage? There must be one somewhere.

This might be too simple minded, but I'll give it a voltage of 10 Volts.

R = voltage / Current
R = 10 / 0.5
R = 20 volts.

Perhaps you could post a diagram if this is a Kirchhoff Law Question.

Maureen is training for a backpacking trip. Which of the following training plans follows the FITT
lawyer [7]

Answer:

The answer is "Walk three days a week, gradually adding distance and hills."

Explanation:

The FITT Principle guides a person in becoming a fitter version of himself by following a particular frequency, intensity, time and type of exercise in order to achieve his goals.

Frequency- this refers to how often a person should do an exercise. For example, 5 times a week of intense core workout.

Intensity- this refers to the person's vigour or strength in doing the workout. This depends whether the person is doing a high-intensity or a low-intensity exercise.

Time- this refers to the length of a person's exercise. This will largely depend on every individual's fitness level.

Type of Exercise- this refers to the exercise that a person should incorporate in his training in order to avoid injuries of using the same muscles over and over again.

Among the choices above, it is only the second choice (Walk three days a week, gradually adding distance and hills) that follows the FITT principle. Walking shouldn't be kept at the same pace and distance for many weeks, since it results to boredom and overuse injuries. This will also lead to a plateau when it comes to people who are trying to lose weight because the body has already well-adjusted to the exercise and cannot be challenged anymore.

Gradually increasing the distance and hills will allow the person to be more challenged and will also increase his desire to workout (because he is seeing results).

Llana [10]

Students were asked to place a mint in their mouths and determine how long it took for the mint to dissolve. The condition of the mint varied in each student group. One group of students were asked to leave a whole mint in their mouth, not moving it around, and let it dissolve. Another group swirled a mint, while the other groups used mints broken into smaller pieces. See the chart for all of the manipulated variable. After reviewing that data table, what kind of result would you predict for the swirled, whole mint?

A) The time is likely between 10-30 seconds.

B) The time is likely between 40-80 seconds.

C) The time is likely between 90-160 seconds.

D) The time is likely between 100-200 seconds.

            ANSWER: B) The time is likely between 40-80 seconds.

  EXPLANATION:The time is likely between 40-80 seconds.

By swirling the mint, this is agitating and creating a higher frequency of collisions between the saliva particles and mint particles, increasing the rate of dissolution. Therefore, the time is likely to be less than the mint cut in half but probably more than the mint when it is in small pieces.

Three resistors of 4.0, 6.0, and 10.0 Ω are connected in parallel. If the combination is connected in series with a 12.0-V batte
Grace [21]

Answer:

0.536 A

Explanation:

From the question,

The combined resistance of the parallel connection is given as

1/Rt = 1/4+1/6+1/10

Rt = 120/15

Rt = 8 ohms.

Since the the combination is connected in series with a 10 ohms resistor,

Rt' = 8+10 = 18 ohms.

Current flowing through the series circuit

I = V/Rt'

V = 12 V, Rt' = 18 ohms

I = 12/18

I = 0.67 A.

Therefore voltage across the combined resistor

V' = 8(0.67)

v' = 5.36 V.

Since the resistors a connected in parallel, the same voltage drop across them.

Therefore, current through the 10 ohms

Ix = 5.36/10

Ix = 0.536 A
