5 0

Answer:

0.417M

Explanation:

Equation of the reaction

2HCl+Na2CO3→2NaCl+H2O+CO2

From dilution principle

no of mole=conc × volume

from the balanced equation

no of mole of  Na2CO3=2× no of mole of HCl

HCl=acid=A

Na2CO3=base=B

since n=cv

Conc of base × vol of base=2× conc of acid×volume of acid

2M×5ml=2×12M×Volume of acid

volume of acid=10/24

=0.417(3 decimal place)

Identify the oxidizing and reducing agent in the following reaction, and determine which element is oxidized and which is reduce
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Fe⁺²(aq) + ClO₂(aq) → Fe⁺³(aq) + ClO₂⁻(aq)

Here oxidation number of Fe is increased from +2 to +3 , so Fe is oxidised .

The oxidation number of Cl is reduced from + 4 to +3  so Cl is reduced .

So ClO₂(aq) is oxidising agent and Fe⁺²(aq) is reducing agent .

A decrease in height of a column in a mercury barometer means that
insens350 [35]

Answer:

increase in the air pressure

Explanation:

The barometer is a device that is used for measuring the air pressure. It is a device that uses mercury in order to show the air pressure. The mercury reacts easily to the changes in the air pressure, so it is a nice indicator for it. The air pressure can simply be defined as the weight of the air masses, and the pressure they make it because of it on the objects. The lower the air pressure, the higher up the mercury will go, as it will experience less pressure from the air, and the higher the air pressure, the lower the mercury will drop, as it will experience more pressure from the air.
