A barbellbell is loaded with two 20 kg plates on its right side and two 20kg plates on its left side. The barbell is 2.2m long,

and its unloaded mass is 20kg. The two 20kg plates on the right side are locked in place at 35cm and 40cm from the right end of the bar. The two 20kg plates on the left side have slipped one iss 30 cm from the left end of the bar and the other is 20 cm from the left end of th bar. where is the center of gravity of this bar?

Answer:

<h2>Center of gravity of the system of all masses is 105 cm from the left end of the rod</h2>

Explanation:

Let the position of Left end of the rod is our reference

So here we will have

m_1 = 20 kg

x_1 = 20 cm

m_2 = 20 kg

x_2 = 30 cm

m_3 = 20 kg

x_3 = 110 cm

m_4 = 20 kg

x_4 = (220 - 40) = 180 cm

m_5 = 20 kg

x_5 = (220 - 35) = 185 cm

so we will have

x_{cm} = \frac{m_1x_1 + m_2x_2 + m_3x_3 + m_4x_4 + m_5x_5}{m_1 + m_2 + m_3 + m_4 + m_5}

x_{cm} = \frac{20(20 + 30 + 110 + 180 + 185)}{20 + 20 + 20 + 20 + 20}

x_{cm} = 105 cm

A system gains 767 kJ of heat, resulting in a change in internal energy of the system equal to +151 kJ. How much work is done?
Crazy boy [7]

Answer:

The work done on the system is -616 kJ

Explanation:

Given;

Quantity of heat absorbed by the system, Q = 767 kJ

change in the internal energy of the system, ΔU = +151 kJ

Apply the first law of thermodynamics;

ΔU = W + Q

Where;

ΔU  is the change in internal energy

W is the work done

Q is the heat gained

W = ΔU  - Q

W = 151 - 767

W = -616 kJ (The negative sign indicates that the work is done on the system)

Therefore, the work done on the system is -616 kJ

Determine how many times per second it would move back and forth across a 6.0-m-long room on the average, assuming it made very
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

The right solution is "24.39 per sec".

Explanation:

According to the question,

⇒ v=\frac{502.1}{\sqrt{3} }

      =289.9 \ m/s

The time will be:

⇒ t=\frac{d}{v}

      =\frac{2\times 6}{289.9}

      =\frac{12}{289.9}

      =0.041 \ sec

hence,

⇒ N=\frac{1}{t}

        =\frac{1}{0.041}

        =24.39 \ per \ sec

3. Describe the flow of one molecule of water through the water cycle, beginning in the ocean.
scZoUnD [109]

molecules of water are never destroyed - they go through various uses in a cycle of re-use. beginning in the ocean. a water molecue is attached to the wet suit of a deep sea diver. when the diver gets back on his boat, the water molecule leaves the ocean. Diver dry his suit under the sun. The water molecule is evaporated to the air. It meets up with more water molecules to form cloud. Cloud becomes rain over ground. Rain drains into stream which merges into river. River runs out to the ocean and the water cycle starts anew.
