Answer:

Centripetal force acting on the body = 9.47 N

Explanation:

Mass of body, m = 2 kg

Radius, r = 3 m

It makes one revolution in 5 seconds.

        Period, T = 5 s

        \texttt{Angular velocity, }\omega =\frac{2\pi }{T}=\frac{2\pi }{5}=1.256rad/s

Centripetal force, F = mrω²

                        F = 2 x 3 x 1.256² = 9.47 N

Centripetal force acting on the body = 9.47 N

A force of gravity pulls downward on a book on a table. What force prevents the book from accelerating downward?
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer: The Normal Force

Explanation:

According to Third Newton's Law,  also konwn as The principle of action and reaction :

<em>"If a body A exerts an action on another body B, it performs on A another action that is the same and in the opposite direction."</em>

In this case this is what happens with the book on a table,  gravity force pulls it downward, but the Normal Force (perpendicular to the surface of the table) acts in the opposite direction with the same magnitude, preventing the book from accelerating downward.

Define second class lever
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

Please find detailed explanation of second class levers below

Explanation:

Levers are one of the classes of machine that possesses three levels namely: first class, second class and third claas. A second class lever is the level of levers in which the load (L) is in between the pivot (F) and the effort (E).

Examples of second class levers include; wheelbarrow, a bottle opener etc. In the bottle opener for example, the bottle lid (load) is in between the pivot of the opener and the hand opening it (effort).

How high was a brick dropped from if if falls in 2.5 seconds?
jenyasd209 [6]
Using the kinematic equation d =  V_0 * t  + 1/2 * a * t^2, where d is height you can rewrite this to be d = 1/2*g*t^2 or 4.9t^2
g = a because this is a free fall
d = 1/2 * 9.81m/s^2 * 2.5^2
d = 30.65625m
d = 30.7m
