radio signals emitted from and received by an airplane have her fruit frequency of 3.00 * 10 to the 12th Hertz and travel at the

speed of light in a vacuum how long is the delay of each message going from the control tower to a jet flying at 1.00 x 10 to the 4th meters of altitude

here we know that the speed of the signal is same as the speed of light

so here we will have

v = 3 \times 10^8 m/s

the altitude of the airplane is given as

h = 1 \times 10^4 m

now we know that time taken by the signal to reach the control tower is given as

t = \frac{d}{v}

now it is given as

t = \frac{1 \times 10^4 }{3 \times 10^8}

t = 3.33 \times 10^{-5} s

so above is the time taken by the signal to reach the control tower

Sunitha can type 1800 words in half an hour. What is her typing speed in words per minute?
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

60words/minute

Explanation:

If Sunitha can type 1800 words in half an hour, this can be expressed as;

1800 words = 30 minutes

To get her typing speed per minute, we will use the formula

Speed = Number of words/Time used

Typing speed = 1800/30

Typing speed = 60words/minute

Hence her typing speed in words per minute is 60words/minute

A plastic rod that has been charged to − 15 nC touches a metal sphere. Afterward, the rod's charge is − 5.0 nC.
Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

B) electrons transferred from sphere to rod.

(2) 1.248 x 10¹¹ electrons were transferred

Explanation:

Given;

initial charge on the plastic rod, q₁ = 15nC

final charge on the plastic rod, q₂ = - 5nC

let the charge acquired by the plastic rod = q

q + 15nC = -5nC

q = -5nC - 15nC

q = -20 nC

Thus, the plastic rod acquired excess negative charge from the metal sphere.

Hence, electrons transferred from sphere to rod

B) electrons transferred from sphere to rod.

2) How many charged particles were transferred?

1.602 x 10⁻¹⁹ C = 1 electron

20 x 10⁻⁹ C = ?

= 1.248 x 10¹¹ electrons

Thus,1.248 x 10¹¹ electrons were transferred

A futuristic design for a car is to have a large solid disk-shaped flywheel within the car storing kinetic energy. The uniform flywheel has mass 370 kg with a radius of 0.500 m and can rotate up to 320 rev/s. Assuming all of this stored kinetic energy could be transferred to the linear velocity of the 3500-kg car, find the maximum attainable speed of the car.
