When hot lava reaches seawater, the salts in the water react with the steam to form gaseous hydrochloride acid. You are given a
iren [92.7K]
NaCl + H2O = HCl + NaOH
FIRST write the equation and balance the equation THEN convert the volume of the gas to moles of the gas PV=nRT THEN according to the stoichiometry of the reaction one mol of gas is produced by one mol of salt. Convert the mol of gas to mol of salt FINALLY calculate the molar mass of the salt and convert the mol of salt to g of salt (m= nxMM)

How many moles of hcl are produced from a reaction with 6.2 moles of h2 given the following equation
Bas_tet [7]
It would be 12.4 moles of HCL because you multiply 6.2 by how many moles of HCL in te equation then divide it by how many moles of h2 in the equation so you multiple 6.2 by 2 moles because there’s two moles of HCL which gives you 12.4 then you divide it by one because in the equation there is only 1 mole of H2

Is the environment considered a non controllable risk factor?
sweet [91]

I'm on the same question. I think the answer is False because you can take step to prevent environment risk factors such as applying sunscreen, avoiding violence and avoiding second-hand smoke. Hope this helps.

Due to the small and highly electronegative nature of fluorine, the oxyacids of the this element are much less common and less s
steposvetlana [31]
We are told we have an oxyacid of the formula HOFO. We will assume the atoms are in this order and will draw a proper lewis structure for this compound by first drawing bonds between each of the 4 atoms and then place the remaining electron pairs on each atom:
      ..    ..    ..
H - O - F - O:
      ··   ··    ··
We can calculate the formal charge of an atom using the following formula:

Formal charge = [# of valence electrons] - [# of non-bonded electrons + # of bonds]

H: Formal charge = [1]-[0+1] = 0

O: Formal charge = [6]-[4+2] = 0

F: Formal charge = [7]-[4+2] = +1

O: Formal charge = [6]-[6+1] = -1

As we can see the overall charge of the molecule is neutral since the fluorine as a +1 charge and the oxygen a -1 charge.
