Answer:

D. The kinetic energy is greater after a substance changes from a

solid to a liquid

Explanation:

During a phase change from solid to liquid, the particles making up the mobile becomes more mobile and as a result there is an increase in kinetic energy of the system.

  • Kinetic energy is the energy accrued due to the motion of a body.
  • In a melting process where solids turn to liquid, there is an increase in kinetic energy.
  • When randomness of a system increase, kinetic energy also increases.
  • From liquid to gas and gas to plasma increases kinetic energy.
  • In the other way round, the kinetic energy reduces.

What is the mass, in grams, 6.5 mol of sodium nitrate (nano3)? please show all work?
ladessa [460]
Mass is the property of a physical body and the resistance to acceleration when a net force is applied on the body.
The atomic mass of sodium (Na) is = 22.98
The atomic mass of nitrate (N) is = 14.00
The atomic mass of oxygen (O) is = 15.99
The sodium nitrate (NaNO3) consists of the atomic masses of Na+N+(O)3 = 85 grams
Therefore, the mass of 6.5 mol of sodium nitrate is = 6.5 * 1 mol of NaNO3
 = 6.5 * (85)
 = 552.50 grams

Why do engineers use metals in making<br> electrical wires
Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

Why is copper used for most electrical wiring? All metals have some amount of resistivity to electrical currents, which is why they require a power source to push the current through. The lower the level of resistivity, the more electrical conductivity a metal has

Water is initially present in a state where it's molecules are far apart. During a change of state it's molecules slow down whic
olga nikolaevna [1]

(A) gas to liquid is most likely to take place. This change from gas to liquid is the forming of water molecules. Gas particles have the most energy and therefore speed up the most, whereas solids have the least amount of energy and slow down. The intermediate step from gas to solid is a liquid. We call this process from gas to liquid condensation.
