You perform a double‑slit experiment in order to measure the wavelength of the new laser that you received for your birthday. Yo

u set your slit spacing at 1.17 mm and place your screen 8.95 m from the slits. Then, you illuminate the slits with your new toy and find on the screen that the tenth bright fringe is 4.57 cm away from the central bright fringe (counted as the zeroth bright fringe). What is your laser's wavelength λ expressed in nanometers?

Answer:

laser's wavelength λ = 597.4 nm

Explanation:

Given:

Slit spacing, d = 1.17mm

Tenth bright fringe y = 4.57cm

Distance from slits, D = 8.95m

n = 10

λ = (d * y) / (D * n)

λ = (1.17x10⁻³ * 4.57x10⁻²) / (8.95 x 10)

λ = 5.3469‬x10⁻⁵ / 8.95x10¹

λ = 0.5974 x 10⁻⁵⁻¹

λ = 0.5974 x 10⁻⁶ m

λ = 597.4 x 10⁻⁹ m

λ = 597.4 nm

Traveling waves propagate with a fixed speed usually denoted as v (but sometimes c). The waves are called __________ if their wa
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

Periodic.

Explanation:

Electromagnetic waves is a propagating medium used in all communications device to transmit data (messages) from the device of the sender to the device of the receiver.

Generally, the most commonly used electromagnetic wave technology in telecommunications is radio waves.

Radio waves can be defined as an electromagnetic wave that has its frequency ranging from 30 GHz to 300 GHz and its wavelength between 1mm and 3000m. Therefore, radio waves are a series of repetitive valleys and peaks that are typically characterized of having the longest wavelength in the electromagnetic spectrum.

Basically, as a result of radio waves having long wavelengths, they are mainly used in long-distance communications such as the carriage and transmission of data.

Generally, a fixed speed is used for the propagation of traveling waves and this speed is usually denoted with the variable "v" or sometimes "c."

Furthermore, if the waveform of a traveling wave is repeated every time at specific intervals T, it is referred to as periodic wave.

Mathematically, the period of a traveling wave is given by the formula;

Period = \frac {1}{T}

Where;

T is the time measured in seconds.

Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

This a pure case of conflict of interests between the interest of the shareholders who are the original owners of the company and management's interest in earning much more,even if it at the expense of the shareholders.

Explanation:

Management is the entrusted with the day to day affairs of corporations.In carrying out their duty,they must have at the back of their minds that maximization of shareholder's wealth is of top priority.

However.some management teams in a bid to gain undue advantage set their remuneration below reasonable levels.

Ultimately,when this happens, their duty to watch over the investment of shareholders clashes with their interest for personal gains.

If the bond enthalpy for a C-H bond is 413 kJ, what will happen when the C-H bond is broken?
pentagon [3]

Explanation:

Bond Enthalpy : It is defined as amount of energy required to break a the particular bond in there gaseous state. It is also known as bond energy. It units are kJ/mol.

  • Breaking of a bond is an Endothermic process (energy absorbed from the surroundings).
  • Formation of bond is an Exothermic process (energy is released to the surroundings).

If the average bond enthalpy for a C-H bond is 413 kJ/mol, When the C-H bond breaks in which energy will be required ,which will be an endothermic reaction.
