The vessel must also have red and green side lights.

The red light is placed on the port (left) side of the boat while the green light is placed on the starboard (right) side of the vehicle. The white lights are on both the masthead (front) and stern (rear) of the boat, unless the vessel is less than 39.4 feet, in which case the front and rear white light may be combined as only one white light.

In addition to an all-round white light, combination light(s) must power-driven vessels less than 65.6 feet (20 meters) long exhibit when underway between sunset and sunrise

Further explanation

Lights required for power-driven vessels less than 65.6 feet when underway. Power-driven vessel means the any vessel propelled by machinery. The LED Combination light is designed with all functions needed for trucks, trailers & agricultural equipment.

If less than 65.6 feet long, vessels must exhibit the lights. Power-driven vessels include sailboats operating under engine power.

The required lights are:

  1. Red and green sidelights that visible from a distance of at least two miles away, or if less than 39.4 feet long, at least one mile away on a dark, clear night.
  2. An all-round white light if vessel is less than 39.4 feet long, or both a masthead light and a sternlight. These lights must be visible from a distance of at least two miles away on a dark, clear night. The all-round white light must be at least 3.3 feet above your sidelights. When not underway, this all-round combination light can also be used as an anchor light.
  3. No other lights, including docking lights may be used which can be mistaken for or interfere with those required above.

A 20 newton force moves an object southeast. What two properties of force have been described?
Galina-37 [17]

Answer:

The answer is C

Explanation:

Force is a vector quantity so it has both magnitude and direction. The question shows 20N act as magnitude and Southeast act as direction.

A truck is using a hook to tow a car whose mass is one quarter that of the truck. If the force exerted by the truck on the car i
LenKa [72]

Answer:

Force exerted by car on truck will be 6000 N in opposite direction

Explanation:

It is given that mass of the car is one quarter of the mass of the truck

Force exerted by the truck on the car is 6000 N

We have to find the force exerted by car on the truck

According to newtons third law for any action there is equal and opposite reaction

So force exerted by car on the truck will be equal to 6000 N in opposite direction

A red rubber ball rolls down a hill from rest with an acceleration of 7.8 m/s 2 . How fast is it moving after it has traveled 5
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

8.83m

Explanation:

Given parameters:

  Acceleration  = 7.8m/s²

   Initial velocity = 0m/s

  distance covered  = 5m

Unknown:

Final velocity  = ?

Solution:

The equation to solve this problem with is given as;

    V² = U² + 2aS

V is the final velocity

U is the initial velocity

a is the acceleration

S is the distance

Input the parameters and solve;

    V² = 0² + 2 x 7.8 x 5 = 78

    V = √78 = 8.83m

A stunt-rider on a motorcycle rides down a ramp and into a vertical loop-the-loop. If the diameter of the loop is 7.50 m, then t
VikaD [51]

Answer:

v = 6.06 m/s

Explanation:

In order for the rider to pass the top of the loop without falling, his weight must be equal to the centripetal force:

Centripetal Force = Weight \\\frac{mv^2}{r} = mg\\\\\frac{v^2}{r} = g\\\\v = \sqrt{gr}

where,

v = minimum speed of motorcycle at top of the loop = ?

g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s²

r = radius of the loop = diameter/2 = 7.5 m/2 = 3.75 m

Therefore, using these values in equation, we get:

v = \sqrt{(9.8\ m/s^2)(3.75\ m)}

v = 6.06 m/s
