Deduce the relation between kwh and joule define 1 watt
dimulka [17.4K]

Explanation:

We know that kWh is a commercial unit of energy.

Also, 1 Joule = 1 watt × 1 seconds

1\ kWh=1kW \times 1\ h

Since ,1 h = 3600 s and 1kW = 1000 W

1\ kWh=1000\ W \times 3600\ s\\\\1\ kWh = 36\times 10^5\ W-s\\\\1\ kWh=36\times 10^5\ J

So, the relation is : 1\ kWh=36\times 10^5\ J

1 watt is defined as the power of an appliance when the energy is transferred at a rate of 1 Joule per second.

How do contact and non-contact forces affect the design of different modes of transportation?
padilas [110]

Contact and non contact forces are big factors to consider in designing of different modes of transportation because this factors are resistances for the mode of transportation. These contact and non- contact forces should be minimized in order for the energy requirement to be also minimum. But not the extent of risking the safety, for example a non contact force is the wieght, the should be optimum, safety of the design should not be compromised just to reduce weight, just like by removing essential parts, support just to remove weight is not good.

If the planes of a crystal are 3.50 (1 A= 10^-10m = Ångstrom unit) apart, what wavelength of electromagnetic waves are needed so
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

λ = 2.62 x 10⁻¹⁰ m = 0.262 nm

Explanation:

We can use Bragg's Law's equation to solve this problem. The Bragg's Law's equation is written as follows:

mλ = 2d Sin θ

where,

m = order of reflection = 1

λ = wavelength = ?

d = distance between the planes of crystal = 3.5 x 10⁻¹⁰ m

θ = strike angle of waves on plane = 22°

Therefore, substituting the respective values in the equation, we get:

(1)λ = (2)(3.5 x 10⁻¹⁰ m)(Sin 22°)

<u>λ = 2.62 x 10⁻¹⁰ m = 0.262 nm</u>
