I’m assuming these are fractions.
•Convert (-2 1/3) into a improper fraction, -2 x 3 + 1= -7, -7/3 is the improper fraction.
• Dividing Numbers that both have negative signs equals positive.
So now it is 3/4 ÷ 7/3.
• Do the reciprocal, it’s now 3/4 x 3/7.
• Multiply
3/4 x 3/7= 9/28

I hope this helps and I did not make any mistakes solving the equation.

Answer:

9/28

Step-by-step explanation:

First transform -2 1/3 to -7/3. Then find the reciprocal of -7/3 which is -3/7. Multiply that to 3/-4 which becomes -9/-28 which equals 9/28.

Solve for x.
Doss [256]

Answer:

x= 16

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you want to distribute each side! (you're gonna wanna learn this because you will be having to do it for the next 3 years no joke it sucks)

7(x+2) can be distributed as 7x+14 after multiplying 7 times x and 7 times 2, and 6(x+5) can be distributed as 6x+30.

Now, you have to get the x on one side to solve for x (so like x=__).

To do this, look at the equation as of now. 7x+14=6x+30.

We can minus 14 and bring that to the right, and minus 6x and bring that to the left to separate the x's and the regular numbers.

Now we have 16=x (or x=16).

Arisa [49]

Answer:

$5.3

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Ask yourself: How much money is left to spend?

- Subtract the cost to rent the park shelter:

3,500 - 250 = 3,250

- Find the total amount of money spent on gifts for students:

300 * 5.50 = 1,650

- Subtract the total money spent on gifts for students:

3,250 - 1,650 = 1,600

2) Ask yourself: How much can be spent per student?

- Divide the money left by the number of students:

1,600 / 300 = 5.3
