Answer:

                \frac{R_{A} }{R_{B} }   = \frac{25}{3}

Explanation:

For the two conductors A and B, the required general formula is;

                        R = ρl ÷ A

But since the two conductors are made of the same material,

                        ρA = ρB

Also, they have the same length,

                          lA = lB

So that,

                         \frac{R_{A} }{R_{B} } = \frac{A_{B} }{A_{A} }

Area can be calculated by \pi r^{2}.

Conductor A has diameter 2.4mm, thus its radius is 1.2mm. Conductor B has outside diameter 8.0mm of radius 4.0 and inside diameter 4.0mm of radius 2.0mm. Thus,

    \frac{R_{A} }{R_{B} }    = \frac{\pi*(16 - 4)*10^{-6}}{\pi*1.44*10^{-6}  }

By appropriate divisions,

   \frac{R_{A} }{R_{B} }    = \frac{12}{1.44}

           = \frac{1200}{144}

   \frac{R_{A} }{R_{B} }   = \frac{25}{3}

The resistance ratio measured between their ends is \frac{25}{3}.

Answer:

RA / RB = 8.33

Explanation:

The resistance in terms of area is given by the following equation:

R = d * L / A

the density being the same in both cases, L the length, which is the same in both conductors and A the area that it does vary.

Now, in the case of conductor A, the area would be:

AA = pi * rA ^ 2

we know that d / 2 = r, therefore:

AA = (pi / 4) * dA ^ 2

Replacing in the resistance formula:

RA = 4 * dA * L / (pi * d ^ 2)

In the case of B we have that the area we want to know is equal to the area on the outside minus the area on the inside

AB = pi * rBo ^ 2 - pi * rBi ^ 2

expressing in diameters:

AB = (pi / 4) * (dBo ^ 2 - dBi ^ 2)

Replacing in R

RB = 4 * d * L / (pi * (dBo ^ 2 - dBi ^ 2))

To know RA / RB we divide these two expressions, the term 4 * d * L is canceled, which is the same in both cases and we are left with:

RA / RB = (dBo ^ 2 - dBi ^ 2) / dA ^ 2

Replacing these values:

RA / RB = (8 ^ 2 - 4 ^ 2) /2.4^2

RA / RB = 8.33

You skip north for 12 minutes to your best friend's house that is 1.5 kilometers away. What is your average velocity?
bagirrra123 [75]

Answer:

The average velocity is 7.5 km/h

Explanation:

Let's convert minutes to hours so our answer can be given in a common units of km/hour:

12 minutes = 12/60  hours = 0.2 hours

Now we estimate the average velocity calculating the distance travelled over the time it took:

1.5 / 0.2 km/h = 7.5 km/h

As the population in a small town grows, a new water treatment plant is built. The plant is built on a local river where it can
abruzzese [7]

Treatment water from the plant would affects the communities present in the downstream of the river.

Answer: Option (a)

<u>Explanation:</u>

Wastewater treatment plant is a process used to treat the water that flows from the rivers, streams, and lakes.This plant removes the dust, sand, sediments present in the river water.

When this treated water is released into the downriver stream, it affects the health of aquatic organisms present in that stream.Use of chemicals in treating the wastewater may cause genetic problems to the communities present in that region.

It also causes air pollution and more energy is needed for the treatment process and thus affects the ecosystem.

In this reaction diagram which part represents the doffrence in energy between the reactants and the products?
Annette [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is - option C. G.

Explanation:

In this reaction diagram, there is a representation of the reaction profile. The reaction profile shows the change that takes place during a reaction in the energy of reactants or substrate and products. In this profile, activation energy looks like a hump in the line, and the minimum energy required to initiate the reaction.

The overall energy of the reaction, including or excluding activation energy depends on the nature of the reaction if it is exothermic or endothermic. and products are represented by the G which shows the difference between the energy of the reactants and products.
