Answer:

The area of the triangle is 24 units2

Step-by-step explanation:

To find an area of a triangle you simply have to multiply a and b which are the legs of a triangle, in this case it would be 6 and 8, after doing that you divide the result by 2. So A= 6x8/2 ---> A=48/2 -----> A=24

How would you describe the shape of the normal distribution?
RUDIKE [14]

The shape of the normal distribution is bell shape and it is also symmetrical from the left and right sides about the origins (mean).

What is a normal distribution?

A normal distribution is a function on some random variables, which represent the set of all those random variables in a symmetrical bell shape about the mean value.

It shows that the probability of occurrence of some data which is distributed over a function is more at or around the mean.

It is also known as probability distribution curve.

The normal distribution has two parameters:

  • Mean
  • Standard deviation

What is the shape of the normal distribution?

The normal distribution curve is at it's peak at the mean value. This shows that the probability of occurrence of the data or value is more concentrated or distributed about the mean. It is also symmetric about the mean. As we more further from the mean, we see that the normal distribution curve gradually decreases showing that the probability of occurrence of the data or the values decreases. The shape that this curve forms is like a bell-shaped. So the shape of normal distribution is bell shape.

Hence, the shape of the normal distribution is bell shape and it is also symmetrical from the left and right sides about the origins (mean).

Answer:

The class 35 - 40 has maximum frequency. So, it is the modal class.

From the given data,

  • \sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:x_{k}=35
  • \sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:f_{k}=50
  • \sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:f_{k-1}=34
  • \sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:f_{k+1}=42
  • \sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:h=5

\sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:= 35+ {\bigg(5 \times \dfrac{(50 - 34)}{ ( 2 \times 50 - 34 - 42)}\bigg)} \\ \\

\sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:= 35 +{\bigg(5 \times \dfrac{16}{24}\bigg)} \\ \\

\sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:= {\bigg(35+\dfrac{10}{3}\bigg)} \\ \\

\sf \:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:(35 + 3.33) =.38.33 \\ \\

{\large{\frak{\pmb{\underline{Additional\: information }}}}}

MODE

  • Most precisely, mode is that value of the variable at which the concentration of the data is maximum.

MODAL CLASS

  • In a frequency distribution the class having maximum frequency is called the modal class.

{\bf{\underline{Formula\:for\: calculating\:mode:}}} \\

{\underline{\boxed{\sf {Mode,\:M_{o} =\sf\red{x_k + {\bigg(h \times \: \dfrac{ ( f_k - f_{k-1})}{ (2f_k - f_{k - 1} - f_{k +1})}\bigg)}}}}}} \\ \\

Where,

Maria has baked a cake for Cathy's birthday. The dimensions of the cake are 13 1/2 inches by 6 3/4 inches. The cake is going to
ycow [4]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Length = 27/4 in

Width = 27/2 in

5.55% of the cake = 5.55/100

= 1/18

Therefore, 18 equal squares of cake where 1 piece is 5.55 % of the cake

Since, the cake is twice as long as it is wide, so that means cut half the cake (27/4 × 27/4) into 9 pieces.

Therefore, each has a side of 1/3 * 27/4

= 9/4 inches.
