Solid fats and sweets are generally ___________________?
Degger [83]

i believe the answer is B. According to ars.usda.gov "Solid fats are solid at room temperature, and added sugars are those added to foods—they are nicknamed "SoFAS" by some nutritionists. These SoFAS are also known as "empty calories," according to the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGAs), because they provide few or no nutrients yet are high in calories." Since these are "empty calories" that means that they are high in calories and low in nutrients.

14. Pretend for a moment you are a receptionist in a skilled nursing facility. You’re expecting a new resident, Mr. Rodriguez, to arrive at the facility this afternoon. He is an 85-year-old gentleman who is coming for several days of rehabilitation prior to being released to his home. His wife, age 82, is awaiting hip replacement surgery and walks with a cane. You happen to look out the glass door to see the taxi pull up and you see Mr. Rodriguez and his wife are in the car. The taxi driver does not get out of the car to open the door for his passengers. You observe their struggle to exit the taxi.

a. What do you think the admit and his wife are feeling at this point?

b. Describe what action you would take in this circumstance.

c. Explain what kinds of skills you would be demonstrating by taking this action

First, I would ask the driver it's okay to open and close doors for people and I know for a fact that the admit and his wife are a bit upset because they were expecting the driver's assistance. In that case, I would provide therapeutic communication because offering my assistance would be the polite thing to do. I would proceed on keeping a positive attitude and showing empathy by asking a few questions about the admit and his wife situation while helping them inside. Last but not least, I'll continue to communicate with the patients, so that way they'll feel better and ready to see the doctor.
