(a) A 2.00-µF capacitor is connected to a 18.0-V battery. How much energy is stored in the capacitor?
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

1.8 x 10⁻⁵J

Explanation:

The energy (E) stored in a capacitor of capacitance, C,  when a voltage, V, is supplied is given by;

E = \frac{1}{2} x C x V²              -------------------(i)

Now, from the question;

C = 2.00μF = 2.00 x 10⁻⁶F

V = 18.0V

Substitute these values into equation (i) as follows;

E = \frac{1}{2} x 2.00 x 10⁻⁶ x 18.0

E = 1.8 x 10⁻⁵J

Therefore, the quantity of energy stored in the capacitor is 1.8 x 10⁻⁵J

What is the acceleration of a 0.90g drop of blood in the fingertips at the bottom of the swing?
Scilla [17]
The acceleration of a 0.90 g drop of blood in the fingertips at the bottom of the swing is the sum of the acceleration of the movement of the finger and the acceleration of gravity. In this case, this is different when the finger goes down, since the acceleration now becomes the difference between the two.

What are saturated and non saturated vapour?
Elodia [21]

Answer:

A saturated vapour is one that is in balance with its own liquid. Space is considered to be unsaturated if it contains fewer vapours than the maximum amount it can retain at a given temperature. Saturated vapour pressure is unaffected by volume, although it rises as temperature rises.

An eagle is flying horizontally at a speed of 4.10 m/s when the fish in her talons wiggles loose and falls into the lake 6.20 m
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

V=11.74m/s, 69.59°

Explanation:

From newtons equation of motion ,we know that

V^2 = u^2+2gh

for the rt

For the vertical component of the speed

Vy^2=V0^2+ 2gh

Vy= the final speed in the vertical axis

V0= initial speed, 0m/s

g= acceleration due to gravity 9.81m/s

h=height/distance between the eagle and the lake

Vy^2= 2*9.81*6.2

Vy =√121.644

Vy=11.02m/s

The resultant speed will be

V=(Vy^2+Vx^2)^0.5

V=(11.02^2+4.1^2)^0.5

V=137.7241^0.5

V=11.74m/s

Direction

Tan^-1(11.02/4.1)

β=69.59°

V=11.74m/s, 69.59°

Answer =11.74m/s, b°
