Hey there!:

Density = 0.79 g/mL

mass = 8 g

Volume = ??

Therefore:

D = m / V

0.79 = 8 / V

Volume = 8 / 0.79

Volume = 10.126 mL

Hope this helps!

A _________ is an oxidizing agent that, when mixed with an oxidation hair color, supplies the necessary oxygen gas to develop co
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

Developer

Explanation:

A developer is an oxidizing agent that, when mixed with an oxidation hair color, supplies the necessary oxygen gas to develop color molecules and create a change in hair color.

Mostly hair colors are used to dye the gray hairs. Hair colors are mixed with developer which is act as oxidizing agent. The wisely used developer is hydrogen peroxide. The hair color is made of ammonia and oxidative tints.

These tints consist of small precursors of uncolored dye. These combined with hydrogen peroxide and form large tint molecule. These are then diffuse into cortex of hair and can not get off during shampoo.

These are termed as permanent hair colors.

What mass of magnesium oxide is produced when 60g of magnesium is burnt in air?
True [87]

Answer:

The chemical equation can be written as:

2Mg+O

2

→2MgO

48 g of Mg reacts with 32 g of O

2

.

Thus, 4.8 g of Mg reacts with 3.2 g of O

2

.

Now, 32 g of O

2

forms = 80 g of MgO.

3.2 g of O

2

produces =

32

80

×3.2 = 8 g of MgO.

Consider the following equilibrium for nitrous acid, HNO2, a weak acid: HNO2(aq) + H2O (l) —><— H3O+ (aq) +NO2^-(aq) In wh
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

The equilibrium will shift to the right

Explanation:

The chemical equilibrium represents a balance between direct and inverse reactions.

The Le Chatelier Principle states that variations in experimental conditions can alter this balance and displace the equilibrium position, causing more or less of the desired product to form. And in this way the system evolves in the opposite direction so as to counteract the effects of such disturbance.

The variation of one or more of the following factors are those that can alter the equilibrium condition:

 • Temperature
 • The pressure
 • The volume
 • The concentration of reactants or products

In this case:

NaOH produces OH⁻ ions. OH⁻ ion uses up H₃O⁺ through the reaction:

H₃O⁺ + OH⁻ → 2 H₂O

According to the Le Chatelier principle, the addition of NaOH consumes one of the products, decreasing its concentration. Therefore, to balance the reaction, the equilibrium will shift to the right in order to counteract the effect that disturbed it and recover the equilibrium state.
