The value of ΔG°′ for the conversion of dihydroxyacetone phosphate to glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (GAP) is +7.53 kJ/mol . If the

concentration of dihydroxyacetone phosphate at equilibrium is 1.85 mM 1.85 mM , what is the concentration of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate? Assume a temperature of 25.0°C .

Answer:

Concentration of  glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate is 0.0886mM

Explanation:

Get K from the expression exp(ΔG/-RT) = K

Where

ΔG = Gibbs free energy = 7.53 kJ/ mol = 7.53 * 10^3 J/mol

T = 250C = 273 +25 = 298 K

R = 8.3145 J(mol.K)

K = exp(7530/(-298*8.3145)

K = 4.79*10^-2

NB: K = (conc of products)/(conc of reactants)

From the question

dihydroxyacetone phosphate is the reactant while glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate is the product

4.70*10^-2 = (conc. Of products/1.85mM)

Conc of products = (4.70*10^-2)*1.85

Conc. Of products = 0.0886mM

Using the following combustion reaction, describe how it follows the laws of conservation of mass and energy. CH 4 +2O 2 CO 2 +2
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

The law of conservation of mass states that "mass in a system remains constant and that the mass of the product is remains the same as that of the reactants".

Law of conservation of energy states that "energy is neither created nor destroyed in the course of chemical or physical change but can be transformed from one form to another".

 Let us properly write the equation:

               CH₄ + 2O₂ → CO₂ + 2H₂O

For the conservation of mass:

  C has 1mole on both sides

   H has 4mole on both sides

   O has 4 mole on both sides

For energy, during combustion process, the methane CH₄ burns to liberate heat energy. This is an energy conversion process in which chemical energy in methane releases heat energy.

How many grams of silver nitrate are needed to react with 156.2g of sodium sulfide to produce 595.8g of silver sulfide and 340.0
qaws [65]
Before proceeding, we should write the reaction equation to better understand what is happening:
2AgNO₃ + Na₂S → Ag₂S + 2NaNO₃

Now, we may apply the law of conservation of mass, due to which the total mass before a chemical reaction is equivalent to the total mass after a chemical reaction. Therefore:
Mass of silver nitrate + mass of sodium sulfide = mass of silver sulfide + mass of sodium nitrate

Mass of silver nitrate + 156.2 = 595.8 + 340
Mass of silver nitrate = 779.6 grams
