Answer:

2,400

Explanation:

Because when we use the formula D=st and we plug in our numbers it should look like D=8x300   . And when we do the math of multiplication it gives us the answer of 2,400 .

The greatest ocean depths on earth are found in the Marianas Trench near the Philippines, where the depth of the bottom of the t
kompoz [17]

Answer:

103063860 Pa

Explanation:

\rho = Density of seawater = 1030 kg/m³

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

h = Depth at which pressure is being measured = 10.2 km

The gauge pressure is given by

p=\rho gh\\\Rightarrow p=1030\times 9.81\times 10.2\times 10^3\\\Rightarrow p=103063860\ Pa

Therefore, the gauge pressure at a depth of 10.2 km is 103063860 Pa

The earth and the moon are attracted to each other by gravitational force. Does the earth attract the moon with a force that is
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

Gravitational attraction is caused by the mass of an object. Since Earth is far more massive than the Moon, the gravitational force exerted on the Moon is far greater than that of the Moon on the Earth. An example of the difference: while the Moon causes tides on the Earth, the Earth has the Moon locked so that the same face (minus some wobbling) is always visible from the Earth

The coefficients of friction between the load and the flatbed trailershown are μs = 0.40 and μk = 0.30. Knowing that the speed o
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

50.97 m

Explanation:

m = Mass of truck

\mu_s = Coefficient of static friction = 0.4

v = Final velocity = 0

u = Initial velocity = 72 km/h = \dfrac{72}{3.6}=20\ \text{m/s}

s = Displacement

Force applied

F=ma

Frictional force

f=\mu_s mg

Now these forces act opposite to each other so are equal. This is valid for the case when the load does not slide

ma=\mu_s mg\\\Rightarrow a=\mu_s g\\\Rightarrow a=0.4\times 9.81\\\Rightarrow a=3.924\ \text{m/s}^2

Since the obect will be decelerating the acceleration will be -3.924\ \text{m/s}^2

From the kinematic equations we have

v^2-u^2=2as\\\Rightarrow s=\dfrac{v^2-u^2}{2a}\\\Rightarrow s=\dfrac{0^2-20^2}{2\times -3.924}\\\Rightarrow s=50.97\ \text{m}

So, the minimum distance at which the car will stop without making the load shift is 50.97 m.

Why can light travel through outer space, but sound cannot?
WINSTONCH [101]
Usually, sound needs a medium to travel through, like a vacuum for example.

Light does not need a medium to travel, and since air is considered a medium, light is not dependent on that.

On the other hand, sound needs a medium to travel through, and outer space doesn't contain space, therefore, no sound.
