Answer:

1.52m/s

Explanation:

Using the law of conservation of momentum

m1u1 + m2u2 = (m1+m2)v

m1 and m2 are the masses

u1 and u2 are the initial velocities

v is the final velocity

Substitute the given values into the formula

0.013(270)+2(130) = (270+130)v

3.51+260 = 400v

263.51 = 400v

v = 400/263.51

v = 1.52m/s

Hence the velocity after the bullet emerges is 1.52m/s

Suppose a 48-N sled is resting on packed snow. The coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.10. If a person weighing 660 N sits on t
Annette [7]

Assume the snow is uniform, and horizontal.

Given:

coefficient of kinetic friction = 0.10 = muK

weight of sled = 48 N

weight of rider = 660 N

normal force on of sled with rider = 48+660 N = 708 N = N

Force required to maintain a uniform speed

= coefficient of kinetic friction * normal force

= muK * N

= 0.10 * 708 N

=70.8 N

Note: it takes more than 70.8 N to start the sled in motion, because static friction is in general greater than kinetic friction.

4A. How high is a 12 kg monkey in a tree if it has 509 J of gravitational potential Energy?
True [87]

4A. PE = MxGxH. (You can consider g as 9.8 / 10m/s as well)

509 J = 12x10xH

509 J = 120xH

H = 509/120

H = 4.24 m

Hope u got the answer....pls rate the answer if it is helpful for u....and I'm sorry I could not understand B part so I didn't do it.

Thank you

A truck driving east on a highway goes from the 42 mi marker to the 48 mi
Leona [35]

Average velocity is 1..2 mi/min east

Explanation:

  • Velocity = Displacement/Time

Here, displacement = 48 mi - 42 mi = 6 miles

Time = 5 minutes

⇒ Average Velocity = 6/5 = 1.2 mi/min east
