Answer:

The direction of the current in the loop is explain with the right hand rule, which is a bout the cross product of two vector, which results is another vector but perpendicular with the initial two.

In this case, the magnetic field has to be perpendicular to the rotation of the current in the loop. Now, you can observe that the magnetic field is towards south in the graph. If we apply right-hand rule, we find that the rotation of the current has to be from west to east, that is, from front of the back of the image.

The image attached shows the right-hand rule.

If the magnetic field were towards North, then the current would rotate in the opposite direction, from East to West.

Suppose that the speed of yellow visible light in a certain transparent medium is 2.01* 105 km/s. What, approximately, is the in
True [87]

Answer:

1.50

Explanation:

Index of refraction:

n=\frac{c}{v} where n is the refractive index, c is the speed of light in vacuum and v is the speed of light in medium.

The speed of light in vacuum is 3.00 \times 10^5 \text{km/s}

Speed of light in medium is 2.01 \times 10^5 \text{km/s}

Thus,

n=\frac{3.00\times 10^5}{2.01\times 10^5}

n=1.50

Index of refraction of this substance through yellow light is 1.50
