The electric field strength between the plates of a simple air capacitor is equal to the voltage across the plates divided by th
Dmitry [639]

Answer:

d = V/E

Explanation:

From the definition, we can say that the electric field strength between the plates of a parallel plate capacitor is

E = v/d

where

E = electric field strength

V = potential difference

d = distance between the plates

On rearranging the equation and making d subject of the formula, we have

d = V/E

From the question, we're given that

V = 112 V

E = 1.12 kV/cm converting to V/m, we have 110000 V/cm

d = 112 / 110000

d = 0.00102 m

d = 1.02*10^-3 m

The famous scientist Galileo Galilei did several experiments with sloping planes, which he rolled metal balls down so that he co
KatRina [158]
Hi there!

The answer would be B. the slope of the plane.

Changing the slope of the plane would show how fast the ball went when Galileo changed the steepness of the slope. If he didn’t change the slopes steepness he would have the same results each time.

Hope this helps !

According to the graph above, how large of a force is needed in order to stretch the string 1.00 meters?
gulaghasi [49]

My guess for this one would be; 400 N

My reasoning would be; it starts at 0 on both X and Y, if you need to get to 1.00 meters thats 4/4. 1/4 of 1.00 is .25, and on .25 its on 100 so multiply it by 4 to make 1.00 and you get 400 N

The mass of the Earth is 6 × 1024 kg, the mass of the Moon is 7 × 1022 kg, and the center-to-center distance is 4 × 108 m. How f
Karolina [17]

Answer:

The center of mass of the Earth–Moon system is 4.613 × 10⁶ m from center of the Earth.

Explanation:

Let the reference point be the center of the Earth

X_{Cm = \frac{M_eX_e +M_mX_m}{M_e+M_m}

Where;

Xcm is the distance from center of the Earth =?

Me is the mass of the Earth = 6 × 10²⁴ kg

Xe is the center mass of the Earth = 0

Mm is the mass of the moon = 7 × 10²² kg

Xm is the center mass of the moon =  4 × 10⁸ m

X_{Cm = \frac{M_eX_e +M_mX_m}{M_e+M_m} =  \frac{M_e(0) +M_mX_m}{M_e+M_m} = \frac{ M_mX_m}{M_e+M_m}}\\\\X_C_m = \frac{7 X 10^{22}*4X10^8}{6X10^{24}+7X10^{22}} =\frac{28 X10^{30}}{607X10^{22}}\\\\  X_C_m = 4.613 X10^6 m

Therefore, the center of mass of the Earth–Moon system is 4.613 × 10⁶ m from center of the Earth.
