Answer:

Question incomplete

This is the complete question

You have a collection of 1.0 kΩ resistors.

How can you connect four of them to produce an equivalent resistance of 0.25 kΩ?

Explanation:

Given that,

We have collection of resistor

R = 1.0 kΩ.

And we want to design an equivalent resistance of

R = 0.25kΩ

We know that,

Series connection of add up resistance and this increases the value of resistance, I.e

Req = R1 + R2 + R3 +.....

While

Parallel resistance add up the reciprocal of resistance and this reduces resistance

So, 1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 +......

Now, we want to design 0.25kΩ

Connect four of the resistor in parallel will give a equivalent resistance of 0.25 kΩ

1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + 1/R4

R1 = R2 = R3 = R4 = 1.0 kΩ

1/Req = 1/1 + 1/1 + 1/1 + 1/1

1/Req = 1+1+1+1

1/Req = 4

Taking reciprocal of both sides..

Req = ¼ kΩ

This is the required equivalent resistance

So, connect the four of the resistor in parallel will give the required 0.25 kΩ resistance

What causes a objects to move or stay still? claim and evidence
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

A force

Explanation:

A push or a pull is an example of a force and can cause an object to speed up, slow down, etc.. Newton's laws tell us that 1- an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it 2- the force on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration. 3- The third law states that for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.. However, forces like gravity and friction can resist movement.

What factor might be contributing to climate change
kirza4 [7]

Geological records stretching back millions of years indicate a number of large variations in Earth’s past climate. These have been caused by many natural factors, including changes in the sun, volcanoes, Earth’s orbit and CO2 levels.

However, comprehensive assessment by scientists shows that it is extremely likely that human activity has been the dominant cause of warming since the mid-20th Century.

Simple Pendulum: A 34-kg child on an 18-kg swing set swings back and forth through small angles. If the length of the very light
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

The correct answer is "4.443 sec".

Explanation:

Given:

Mass of child,

= 34 kg

Mass of swing,

= 18 kg

Length,

= 4.9 m

The time period of pendulum will be:

T = 2 \pi \sqrt{4g}

 = 2 \pi \sqrt{\frac{4.9}{9.8} }

 = 4.443 \ sec

When a balloon is deflating, why does air leave the balloon?
Gwar [14]

Answer:

When a balloon deflates air moves out of the balloon because the pressure inside the balloon is higher than the pressure outside the balloon.

Explanation:

An inflated balloon has a high pressure region on its inside. Gases always move from a region of high pressure to a region of low pressure. When a balloon is inflated its membrane stretches making it even more porous.

The gas molecules inside the balloon easily diffuse out through this membrane. The diffusion rate may differ depending on the type of gas filled inside the balloon and the material of the balloon. For example helium balloon deflates faster than common air balloon.

This is because helium is a light element and can escape easier than gases like nitrogen and oxygen through the porous membrane of the balloon.
