Molecular weight of N2
gram Atomic weight of N is 14 g.
gram Molecular weight = 14 g×2
= 28 g
Liter concepts
1 liter of gas always occupies 1 gram molecular weight .
Application of the concept
5.75 liter gives 0.257g

1 mole will occupy 28 g

0.257 will occupy 28 g × 0.257
= 7.196 g

The mass of the gas is 7.196 g.

Hope it helps you

A) The equilibrium between carbon dioxide gas and carbonic acid is very important in biology and environmental science.
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

Explanation:

CO₂ (aq) + H₂O (l)   ⇄   H₂CO₃ (aq)

Equilibrium constant

Kc  =   [H₂CO₃] / [CO₂] [H₂O]

B )

PCl₃(g) + Cl₂(g)    <-->   PCl₅(g)

Kc = 24.3 .

[PCl₃] = .10M ,

[Cl₂] = 0.15 M

[PCl₅]  = 0.60 M.

Qc =  [PCl₅]  /  [PCl₃] [Cl₂]

= .60 / .10 x .15

= 40

Qc > Kc

Hence the reaction will proceed from left to right to reach equilibrium . It is so because the product concentration is more .

Option C is the right choice .

What is the total pressure inside a flask that contains 2.15 atm helium, 4.62 atm xenon, and 0.65 atm argon?
natali 33 [55]

Answer:

7.42 atm

Explanation:

The total pressure is just the sum of partial pressures:

2.15 + 4.62 + 0.65 = 7.42 atm

There are 2.60 x 1015 short tons of oxygen in the atmosphere ( 1 short ton = 2000 lb). How many metric tons of oxygen are oresen
vichka [17]

<u>Answer:</u> 2.36\times 10^{15} metric tons of oxygen is present.

<u>Explanation:</u>

We are given:

Mass of oxygen in atmosphere = 2.60\times 10^{15}\text{ short tons}

To convert it into metric tons, we use the conversion factors:

1\text{ short ton}=2000lb

And,

1\text{ metric ton}=2204.62lb

Converting short tons into pounds, we get:

\Rightarrow 2.60\times 10^{15}\text{ short tons}\times (\frac{2000lb}{\text{1 short ton}})=5.2\times 10^{18}lb

Now, converting the given mass in pounds to metric tons, we get:

\Rightarrow 5.2\times 10^{18}lb\times (\frac{\text{1 metric ton}}{2204.62lb})=2.36\times 10^{15}\text{metric ton}

Hence, 2.36\times 10^{15} metric tons of oxygen is present.

If nitrogen gas is collected over water at 20 o C and the total pressure of the gas in the collection vessel is 200 kPa, what is
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

pressure of dry nitrogen gas at 20° = Partial pressure of nitrogen and partial pressure of water at that temperature .

The pressure of dry nitrogen gas= total pressure - vapour pressure of water at 20°C

= 200 k Pa - 2.34 k Pa

= 197.66 kPa.
