Answer:

A real world example on the relationship between pressure and surface area can be seen in the functioning of a syringe and the needle

The surface area of the barrel is larger than the surface area of the shaft of the needle and as such when the plunger of a syringe containing sufficient quantity of fluid such as water is pressed, the water coming out of the needle rises to a very high level while the plunger moves a distance of a fraction of the barrel length indicating that the pressure of the water coming out from the syringe is much higher than the pressure on the water in the barrel of the syringe

What is the net power needed to change the speed of a 1600-kg sport utility vehicle from 15.0 m/s to 40.0 m/s in 4.00 seconds
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

The net power needed to change the speed of the vehicle is 275,000 W

Explanation:

Given;

mass of the sport vehicle, m = 1600 kg

initial velocity of the vehicle, u = 15 m/s

final velocity of the vehicle, v = 40 m/s

time of motion, t = 4 s

The force needed to change the speed of the sport vehicle;

F = \frac{m(v-u)}{t} \\\\F = \frac{1600(40-15)}{4} \\\\F = 10,000 \ N

The net power needed to change the speed of the vehicle is calculated as;

P_{net} = \frac{1}{2} F[u + v]\\\\P_{net} = \frac{1}{2} \times 10,000[15 + 40]\\\\P_{net} = 275,000 \ W

katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

cone geyser

Explanation:

The Old Faithful geyser is the oldest discovered geyser in the Yellowstone national park. The eruptions of the geyser are particularly predictable. It is a cone type geyser.

Cone geysers generally have a spout through which the water ejects out. When super heated water in the tube then the water starts to boil and form bubbles of steam, after this process the eruption takes place.

If I could lift up to ten tons and I threw a ball the size of an orange but weighed a ton, to the ground, how big of an impact w
Anarel [89]

Answer:

The impact force is 98000 N.

Explanation:

mass = 10 tons

The impact force is the weight of the object.

Weight =mass x gravity

W = 10 x 1000 x 9.8

W = 98000 N

The impact force is 98000 N.
